Character Name: Ceralyn
Server: Bahamut

Details:
Every time I attempt to log in to my character, it gets to the "downloading data" screen, and then the music begins to skip and blur pretty bad, and ultimately I return to my desktop and POL shuts down.

Steps:
1) I was zoning from Port Jueno to Qufim.
2) At the "Downloading data" screen, the music began to repeat and skip for around 5 minutes and ultimately I was forced to manually turn off my computer.
3) Every time since when I return to the Character select screen, there is a little yellow triangle with an exclamation point in the middle when I attempt to select my character.
4) As soon as I select Yes to choose my character, everything proceeds as normal, until I get to the "Downloading data" screen, at which time the music again slurs and skips, and I am returned to my desktop or forced to manually shut down my computer. No error code is given, and everything else about PlayOnline seems to work fine.

Also: I do not have, nor do I want to purchase a second content ID to check whether it is just my main character who is corrupt. If this issue is not resolved and my main is gone, I will most likely terminate service rather than opt to repeat everything.

Seems like very corrupt data indeed! I can't say I have ever seen or even read about the triangle, so I can only be guessing what it means.

In any case, have you tried the 'check data' in the PlayOnline Viewer menu? That's something I'd first try, but if it can not resolve the issue, I'd try a complete and clean re-install of the game (yes, I know it is far from a fun procedure). From your description of the issue, it does seem more like a local issue to me, than anything that can be helped from the server side, but it's not impossible either, of course.

Let me know if the check fixes anything.
Good luck!
