Character Name: Tamarsamar
Race: TarutaruM
World: Carbuncle
Main Job: Red Mage, level 67
Support Job: Paladin
Area and Coordinates: Bostaunieux Oubliette, G-7 through I-7
Party or Solo: Solo, but with Adventuring Fellow
NPC Name: Mahoyaya
Monster Name: Funnel Bats and Werebat
Steps:

1. With the aid of my Adventuring Fellow, I was repeatedly clearing the requirements for Page 2 of the Area's Grounds Tome without issue. I ensured that for battle, various status effects such as Haste and Phalanx were in effect at all applicable times through Enhancing Magic, as well as the Job Ability Composure. The status effects of Haste, Enspell II, Phalanx, and Spikes, all being similar in duration, were applied consecutively for my convenience.

2. Through blue Treasure Caskets, I would obtain Temporary Items such as Champion's Tonic and Champion's Gambir. When desired for use (such as when a duplicate item is found in another Casket, for example), I would use them and gain the status effect "Potency".

3. A few minutes later, the temporary item's Potency effect would wear off, and my Haste effect would immediately wear off alongside it, long before status effects of similar duration to Haste would begin wearing off.

4. This happened with each Temporary Item I used that granted the effect of "Potency," and was first noticed after the second item (for the first item, I had mistakenly assumed that my status effects were wearing off normally). This was a notable enough nuisance for me to bring it to this forum some time later, but otherwise the items did not noticeably have an adverse effect on my gameplay.

Those champion items also give Haste, which is more potent than the spell version, so it's possible that's overlapping your Haste spell, and both Potency and Haste from champion items wear off at the same time.

Seriously? Huh. I had no idea of this at the time.

Thank you for your post about these 2 effects wearing off at the same time. It appears a possible solution to this problem has been posted here. Please see if the same thing happens after following the suggested advice, and if the problem persists, please let us know and we'll be happy to pass this issue on to the development team.

Thank you again for your post,
