A few quick questions about the recently added merit WS:
Will there be new WS in the future to suit the two new jobs that will be added?
Will those jobs receive access to some of the already implemented merit WS?
Will you ever consider raising the cap for merit WS, currently at 15 points? Something like 25 would be awesome.

I don't see how rune fencer would not get the greatsword merit WS, considering great sword seems to be their main weapon.
My guess: The jobs would get every WS that they have enough skill for at level 96

I don't see how Rune would not get a good obtainable GS when it comes out, but seems like it wont sadly, so admittedly this is a honest valid question, and my bets on it not getting Reso because of "balance" issues.

Huh, how does it "seem like it won't" get a decent great sword WS? Did SE release info about weapon skill availability for RNF or something?
Personally, I'm willing to bet money on rune fencer getting Resolution as long as they get B or higher skill in greatswords. I mean, even pld can use Resolution.

They arnt giving Rune Relic or Emp, so far as we know right now it seems like no trial weapons what so ever. That is what I meant by it, if they arnt getting any old/good weapons because of "balance" then old/good WSs might be out of the question as well. Reso isn't old, but Emps arnt to old either, Emp/Relic were designed for DRK/WAR apparently so I wonder if they will see Reso the same way and not give it to Rune. Like I said, I see it as a valid question at this point...

Didn't they say that they are planning another bunch of super-weapons to go with the new expansion?
They gave resolution the strength that is has even with keeping pld on it, even though they've previously been worried about giving pld too high damage output.

LMAO newer more super weapons for future updates so we might as well stop playing and making the magian trial weapons for now just in case these weapons will be outdated by next year and all of our hard works will be gone for good. I had good feelings with the news update last month, but all the good faith are completely wiped seeing the many recent comments from the developers which pretty much cemented their attitude of "we don't care what you think, your feedback does not matter to us".

"we don't care what you think, your feedback does not matter to us"I think its more that the English forums don't matter to them. This is here to talk about what changes are made, not impact them, your speakin the wrong language if you want them to care.

Why do you guys keep saying the developers don't care what we think there have been many adjustments and additions to this game recently based on fan feedback?

Alot of the time they seem to look at what we say and have a deal with it kinda attitude. Not always, sometimes they listen, but alot of times (RDM forums) they ignore players it seems and just go on with what they had planed.

...The last thing this game needs is ANOTHER 'end-game' set of weapons and gear that are only on the same level (or close) to already existing 'end-game' weapons and gear.
I sincerely hope that whatever does come with the new expansion is noticeably superior. I'm a bit tired of side-grades by this point.

Side-grades are the effect of level caps. Once you cap a level you can no longer grow the limits on gear start to set in, they can only grow so much without towering over other pieces and becoming to powerful, I would honestly place Nyzul gear in this category for alot of things. Heavy DD head & legs with tons of Haste & STP on them with those kind of numbers is crazy, same can be said for the 7% WS damage on the body. I don't see much in the future beating these without making even more gear look bad around these levels.

I know people on this forum don't really care for WoW comparisons, but i'm going to use one anyway, please forgive me.
My understanding of WoW is that they've created multiple tiers of gear. Basically you do X dungeon for your T6 gear. Your T6 gear makes you strong enough to enter Y dungeon and get T7 gear, etc, etc.
I'm not saying we need to copy what WoW is doing, but I am saying that I think some form of progression in gear would be a good idea. I feel confident in saying many of us do not want to see this game stagnate, and I think that introducing more side-grade gear will push the game in that direction. People generally don't want to put significant effort into obtaining something that isn't at least somewhat better than what they already have.
Just my 2 gil.

Sounds again like somewhat of my idea of how Nyzul is, doing it normally you have almost no chance at a win. Do abyssea for some +2s/Emp, do VW for some of its gear, then hit Nyzul, and your chances are much better. I was simply saying that it is a problem that many games face once a level cap is established.

Bump! Hoping the dev guys will be able to give some info about this.
