Wyvern’s HP is completely restored and all status ailments are cured. Additionally, the wyvern’s stats will increase.
With spirit link empathylvl5 the wyvern is going to be almost immune to all status effects anyway and the spirit link already fills its hp all the way with the appropriate gear. Why would they give us a 2nd spirit link we can use once every 2 hours? Not only that but it also GIVES US NO POINT TO SPIRIT SURGE.

it would be nice if it gave a brew-like effect to the wyvern.

I agree that the new DRG 2hour does sound kinda lackluster. The stats of the wyvern would have to see a pretty significant increase for it to be worth anything. Maybe if it got even more damage resistance, 50% haste and twice as strong attacks as it currently has? I dunno.
Maybe it could do considerably stronger breath attacks while the 2hour is active. 2000 damage breaths each time I WSed would be pretty decent, I guess. Or 1500 damage AoE healing breaths without having to use deep breathing, and remove breaths that would remove any sort of debuff, maybe 2-3 at a time, and also work for other party members?

Honestly, the new DRG 2hr duration should be like 30minutes or until the Wyvern dies like Familiar. Wyverns hit endgame mobs for like 10-30 damage. Even if they hit for 10x that for 100-300 its still weak. BST pets hit for 500+.

that's the sad thing about it. even if our wyverns did become super sayijin you'll still be seeing them hit nm's for little damage just because the wyverns melee damage is mostly comprised of the level differences.
not to be a wiener but our wyverns are pretty much already at god mode with damage in the parse aside. more hp/stats/or even better healing breath wont do us any better since healing breath already heals all of our hp anyway.

They changed the wording from "Wyvern’s HP is completely restored and all status ailments are cured. Additionally, the wyvern’s stats will increase."
to
"Recovers wyvern's HP and removes status ailments. Enhances breath effects."
