Welcome to the FINAL FANTASY XI Test Client Installation Guide! Okipuit here to make your Test Server access quick and easy!

Step 1: Submit your Test Server Application form!
Once approved, your character data will be copied over to the Test Server.

Step 2: Download all four of the Test Client files and place them in a folder on your desktop. We recommend using a folder named "moogle_0" so that you can easily follow along with this guide.

Step 3: In your "moogle_0" folder, select the A11203W_001.zip file, right click and choose Extract Here

Step 4: Select the setup.exe that was created and install the Test Client by the following the steps in the installer. Make sure to install the Test Client where your copy of FINAL FANTASY XI is installed!

Note: Depending on your setup, the location may vary, but can typically be found here:

Typical Disc Install Location
C:\Program Files\PlayOnline\ - 32-bit version of Windows
C:\Program Files (x86)\PlayOnline\ - 64-bit version of Windows

Typical Steam Install Location
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\ffxi\SquareEnix\
- 32-bit version of Windows
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ffxi\SquareEnix\
- 64-bit version of Windows

Step 5: Once the Test Client has been installed, create another folder on your desktop and name it "moogle_1"!

Next, we're going to unzip the remaining files from "moogle_0" into "moogle_1"!

Step 6: Now we want to extract the following Test Server zip files that are inside "moogle_0":
FFXITC.zip - Right click and select "Extract files..." and select "moogle_1" as the destination
FFXITC2.zip - Right click and select "Extract files..." and select "moogle_1" as the destination
FFXITC3.zip - Right click and select "Extract files..." and select "moogle_1" as the destination

When you have finished extracting, your "moogle_1" will have all of these extracted files within a folder named "ffxi". The inside of the "ffxi" folder should look like this:

Step 7: Open the "ffxi" folder (inside of "moogle_1") and select all of the files (control+A). Drag the selected files and place them into the "FINAL FANTASY XI Test Client" folder that was installed during the Test Client installation.
Note: You may be prompted to overwrite files that already exist, go ahead and overwrite them!

Step 8: Once you've placed all of the files into the "FINAL FANTASY XI Test Client" folder, launch your copy of the game as normal. Proceed to the FINAL FANTASY XI screen and select "Play on Test Server" button.

Step 11: Download the latest Test Server patch... and you're done!
