I was going to do my Cooking Guild Points item today on my alternate character, but one of the main ingredients for the Synth (Goulash) is only available from one NPC and only under certain conditions (when San d'Oria is in 1st or 2nd place in Conquest). On my server this week, San d'Oria is in 3rd place, and those who have Goulash as a Guild Point Item are unable to do the Goulash synth, as one of the ingredients, Paprika, is only available under the conditions stated above. Is there any other way that you could obtain Paprika other than from the NPC only? Is it possible to add it as an item from the Cooking Guild NPCs or make it available all of the time from the NPC in Southern San d'Oria? This is kind of a big hassle since I wanted to do the item, but it is next to impossible to do (not knowing of any other sources to procure the item needed). Can you help out your fellow Cooks? Thank you for your time/consideration in this matter.

Would love this. Though, arguably, Paprika not always being available makes some of the skill-up food rise in price now and then.

Buy a stack or 2 when you can and keep em around for cases like this. It's not like it's a Rare/Ex 5% drop of a 21-24h NM... (woodworking used to have a few of those.) Seems like the AH also carries them, at an inflated price obviously.

Hmm.. funny things were going on with single paprika on Bismarck last year... gilseller strange...

Agreed. Tracking down, obtaining, and keeping a pantry stocked with rare ingredients is part of being a great chef! If Goulash annoys you now, wait until Turtle Soup comes up for your GP item. :)
