Looks like the GIL spammers are back today, got 6 messages from them on my server today. They bypassed the spam filters.
Let's hope they don't stay.
Has anyone else been seeing these spams today?

They never left, there is just less of them. I would assume their activity has increased due to the returning players through the Steam Sale and recent 10th Anniversary stuff.
Whats the point of this thread anyways?

Yep, seen 3 in the last week, reported them but probably pointless as always.

They more or less did, they're mostly back due to the upcoming EP.

This is in general discussion. The point of your snarky commentary is what?
And nope, haven't seen the /tells recently. Make sure your filter has the /tells deemed as spam filter turned on.

Hey folks!
We have seen an bit of an increase of reports about the RMT advertisements. Anytime you receive one of these tells, please feel free to submit a /helpdesk and we will take care of the matter! The spam filter is very handy, but there are a few ways that it can be circumvented. The GM team will send you a message, as these reports can come in fast and build of quickly; we want to be able to stop the spamming ASAP so, the message to you is the best solution we were able to devise.
Thanks, as always, for showing such concern for our, no YOUR game, and by submitting these reports you help the GM staff keep it fair for all.

I haven't seen any tells lately, but I'll keep an eye out for them as we get closer to the release of the new expansion.

I saw one the other day. I figure they're the ones with the 24/7 Jeuno yells about paid Abyssea leech spots, and they'll need to increase advertising sooner or later trying to get rid of all that gil.
