So after fighting with the ancient POL 1.1ver and quickly discovering the Client download... well I now have that logged in but very confused the old version would ask for the disc to install rest of game this did not. So as i type this it might be pointless by the time someone reads it. But manually using ancient wiz to install the game; love this multi-disc collection i have still looks shiny new from when i first bought it in 2007.
But SE made this a real challege on re-activating content,

If someone could be ever so kinda but to make out a checklist of what i need to do to get game up and running and activate please.

what I have so far is; I made the SE-ID, then transfered the POL-ID link; so that lets me into the new POL client/ But since SE didn't think to check there website to see if a monkey wrote it out right; seems to activate my game ID and the expansion ID's are now hidden away in some obvious place that my NA brain isn't seeing... maybe its just age.
Thx

Content ID's* to be more specific about what i'm jabber of with game/expansion ID

yeah.. the terms have gotten a bit weird now. Your POL account is now your Service Account, and characters are now called options, which are "continued automatically", provided your payment method properly funds the account.

Fortunately, you've linked your POL-ID, so that's half the battle won.

After logging into the SE Account Management page, click the button for "List Options Continued Automatically". I forget if this button is always active--it is possible you may not be able to use it until an account is active (SE does some strange things). You can also click a button further down for "Select Service", then FFXI to ultimately get to the same page.

Whether you went through the List Options or the Services route, what you should now be looking at is a frame with your POL ID (Playonline/Final Fantasy XI: ABCD1234 [US]) with a button beside it for "Options List". Click the "Options List" button to see all the characters (now called "Options") linked to that POL ID. Verify your payment method. If it is not set as you want it, you can click the button to update the method and then come back to this page.

Below the Payment options section, your characters should be listed here as either active or inactive, with check boxes by them. Check them as you want to activate/cancel, etc. or click the "Add new options" button up top to create a new character.

Scroll down a little further and you should see all your registered Content ID's under "Permanent Options". Well, not the ID's, but the expansions. If I remember right, if an expansion is not registered, you will have a button there to input the code to activate it, or it may have been a check box and then you click a button in the POL section further down. I have all of them registered, so all I have is an option to purchase content ID's, but I registered ASA on there somehow, just forget the details. This POL info section can also be used to update POL password, redeem reward codes and such.

Yeah, I finally got everything up and running. Thou I ended up having to use both POL/ID for login cause for some strange reason it gives me a error. But, the 3 expansions i do have and installed worked just fine. Now for the joy of hunting individual expansions or buy Ultimate and just try to attempt to install what i don't have for like 20$. Which isn't a bad price. My character in game is such a mess, left it half dressed and items on various mules -.- feel like a dumb*&$.

And excuse the late response as I was distracted ingame and out of game stuff to come back. And properly acknowledge this post. :(
