Square Enix store shipping fee

I really don't understand why the store does not allow us to chose our shipping method. It requires a minimum order of $23, yet no matter what I add it adds $30.05 for shipping. This is outrageous, the cost of shipping is more than double the cost of 2 keychains. When going to the finalization screen it says that it is EXPRESS shipping. Granted yes, I live in Hawaii, but there is no reason I need these keychains that fast. To me it's bait and switch, as you are selling item, yet are charging absorbant amounts for shipping when there are many way to ship an item.

Please either explain why shipping costs so much, last time I checked, Hawaii was still part of the United States. Or allow us to choose our shipping methods.

They're probably using UPS or FedEx, which only offer express shipping to you and me in Hawaii and Alaska. Many shops like this refuse to use USPS, even though it's cheaper and just as reliable.

The solution to this is that you ship it to a friend near SE's distribution center and have them remail it via USPS. They're not going to cater to the low population of our states for that, when the shipping rates are much more reasonable for the rest of the country. It could be worse, people in Canada can't order from the shop at all.
