I have posted this idea in many other threads in the past however this is a more in depth look at my idea and how it could be implemented. It has been adjusted to go with current and upcoming changes being made to VW since the idea was originally presented. This is my Voidwatch Ticket Point system!

1 ticket is awarded for each win against a VWNM. Tickets are exclusive to a NM, and are locked to the rifts in the area the NM is spawned in. For instance, when fighting Kaggen in Qufim Island, you will get a ticket for Kaggen's items only upon winning a fight. Also you may only spend these tickets when at one of these rifts. If you are in Lower Delkfutt's Tower you will not be able to spend Kaggen's tickets, instead they will be Akvan's tickets, and only ones retrieved from Akvan may be spent.

Tickets should be just as cruor is, when finishing a VW fight, you will be told the amount you have with the 1 you earned. With enough blue light, such as 500%+, you would earn 2 tickets. Also the amount of tickets you have are only seen at the proper NPCs, or rifts.

To show an example of how a chart would look for drops, I will use Kaggen and its drops.

Example:Kaggen

Notable Drops
-Mekira Meikogai
-Phasmida Belt
-Kaggen's Cuticle
-Mantis Eye
-Heavy Metal

Ticket Buy List
-Mekira Meikogai = 100 Tickets
-Phasmida Belt = 75 Tickets
-Pulse Cell: Me = 35 Tickets
-Kaggen's Cuticle = 30 Tickets
-Heavy Metal = 5 Tickets
-Mantis Eye = 5 Tickets
-Crystal Petrifact = 1 Ticket

Trade List
-Mekira Meikogai = 25 Tickets
-Phasmida Belt = 20 Tickets
-Mantis Eye = 2 Tickets

With this system, R/EX gear does not goto waste, rather it can be used to provide more tickets to go toward the rewards you are pursuing. Items will not seem unattainable, or severely luck based, they will allow players to obtain the items they wish given time and determination! Tickets will only count for the NM in question, you will not be able to have tickets from Kaggen used for Akvan drops, however, this is why Heavy Metal is in the buy list, it provides a use for tickets even if one already obtains all drops while having tickets left over. This would also heighten the supply of Heavy Metal, making Emp95 easier to obtain.

Adding to this, with the new update allowing "Obtain All" to ignore R/EX items in the case you have it already, these could automatically be changed to tickets, allowing for fast disposal of gear unneeded, and giving the player better rewards.

That is my idea for the ticket point system, it would allow a fair chance at rewards given time, would remove the need for wasting R/EX items, increase the supply of items such as Heavy Metal, and give a good reason to keep coming back to VW more and more.

No one has interest in this idea? :(

The new pulse cells do this already to the extent it needs to be.

What you are proposing is implementing a new "currency" for each and every voidwatch NM - thats far too much implementation work for little gain.

This would heighten the supply of heavy metal. Reduce the waste of R/EX items gotten by players who do not need them by rewarding them with progress going toward the items they do want. Would give an alternative method of acquiring items not included by the Pulse Cell system(everything that does not glow) and would allow people to get items they want with time rather than always relying on luck.

I would think the amount of work would be fairly simple honestly. Its only copy and pasting the info for each NM after the 1st then changing the variables such as location and NM/ticket name so far as I would think.

It would require server-side storage of a currency count for every character for every VWNM. They tried to give us more AH room and killed the game, can you imagine what this would do?

Not sure, I would think its easier to apply that to a character than it is the AH being that we have the info for all of our Cruor, Trav/Voidstones, levels for atmacite, and all of that kept track of. I would think keeping track of this data would be little different from the AH.

If anything I would have proposed a universal version of it instead but that would cause to many people to call it an easy fix as you could spam low lv NMs for high level rewards and high level NMs would never be fought. Also SE would never even consider to implement such a system for the same reason I'm sure.

If anything they could limit it down alot, and instead of it being for each NM it could be each tier. T1~4 Cities(Sandy/Windy/Bastok) T1~6 Jeuno, T1~3 Zilart, and T1~2 Aht/Tav. Each tier being different tickets except for cities sharing and Aht/Tav sharing.

Edit:They could also make it only NMs with R/EX drops, as they are the main concern

So~ Reps, just curious, did you present my idea to the devs? If so can I get some word back on it? Why it would/wouldn't work and all that? :D

people kept asking for a ticket system so they gave us one, but they made it only for the Pulse items, and you have to turn the item into a ticket. would have been better if they made them for the mob and not the 1 rare item they drop, but they didn't and they have no reason to change it again. wouldn't surprise me if they never change anything in VWNM again, even if they should.

But thats the thing, they should change it. As pointed out by many, alot of NMs are simply not done. Alot of people stopped doing VW in general because there is no good rewards you will get for sure, only a chance. People go 40+ Qilin without a Pouch, only getting junk items and things they already had. VW should allow for attainable goals with time as well as luck to keep people doing it. The way it is now alot of players get discouraged by bad luck over and over again and even give up due to the lack of a certainty their effort will eventually be rewarded in some way.

My system is not so much a ticket system as it is a point system, at the time I made this I simply called it this because I had nothing else that came to mind and the Pulse Cells were just introduced so I thought I would go with the original title for that with a slight alteration. In either case the main point of this idea is to give a certainty that rewards of some sort will be gotten for participation, and even allowing you to select said reward. It would give everyone the ability to get what they want in time, and a certain chance at things like Plates, Pouches, or gear, that were not given the ability to be turned into a Cell.

Also as some point out, it is so luck based that you have times things happen like with Kaggen, you will run 200 times, and get 3 Bodys, 10 eyes, but no belt, even if it is the only thing you want, and its drop rate seems to be much higher than that of the body. It is the main reason why the system we have now is flawed, because drops are unpredictable, even if the math shows 1 body will drop in 100 kills, it could take a million in the end, because it does not make the rate higher as you fight or anything of the sort. The same can be said for the Belt, if Phasmida has a 5~8% drop rate, people can still go 1/200 on it, even if math shows they should have gotten it in the 1st 20 kills or so.

The biggest problem for Pulse Cells is that they only cover a very small amount of NMs in VW, and so they don't help the numbers of shouts all to much. People still stick to a single group of NMs, and very few parties will deviate from that group of NMs to do others. I have seen I think 3 Morta shouts on Phoenix since it was released, 2 pre-weakening, and 1 post, the reason its bad is because it changed almost nothing. In fact the very idea of having to have 5 people get lucky, for you to get the same body they got in the box is insane in my opinion. I am not saying my idea is without flaw by any means, but I think it would be an improvement over what we have been handed so far, because even with the changes, VW has still slowed down so far as I have seen, and certain NMs are still pursued where others are still avoided. If my change was made, I think people might go outside of the normal NMs for once because they would also know they are not wasting their time if they want something from it, as it will add up to something in the end.

Something should also be done for the athos, ogier's and rubeus sets as well.

Something should also be done for the athos, ogier's and rubeus sets as well. They are covered in the point system idea. I only used Kaggen as an example because he is a very common VWNM and I expected anyone who this would be of relevance to, to know his drops. All VWNMs excluding PW (not excluding the Petrifact fights themselves) should have this setup in my opinion. They gave the original reasoning for why this was not done as being because they drop easier, but they overlooked the fact they are done less often, which puts them on roughly the same level of difficulty.
