Before I start, DRG for me right now is more of a fun job, and it's not in any way brilliantly geared:
Salvage: You need 3 people to enter. Any 3 jobs at 99 can do salvage without much problem.
Dynamis: I duo'd dyna on DRG with a THF. I had to wait to engage EP mobs until it was procced (turn back then attack so you can still use step/flourish without wyvern attacking) otherwise the wyvern could rape them before it's procced. Just used soul/spirit for TP for steps.
WoE: Though I often do this in a group, DRG/BLU is a great combo here, but be sure to keep defence high and plenty of -DT gear when fighting bosses or several adds. Being able to constanly cure is no good if you get 1-shotted!

I second everything Babekeke said. I'll add a few more details.
Dynamis: DRG probably puts out a little too much dmg for dynamis. Like any two-hand DD: great for one shotting EPs that are already proc'ed, not so great for proccing EPs w/o killing. Certainly though DRG works well in dynamis in a small group, especially against the higher lvl mobs.
Salvage: this is where DRG really has some unique utility I've found. First off, archaic machinery is all weak to piercing. This means DRG is ideal for ripping through gear rooms. Of course any well geared DD will do just fine, but a poorly geared drg at least has the piercing advantage over another poorly geared DD. Well geared WAR would still clear rooms faster of course.
The other unique application for drg in salvage deals with the wyvern. As the only pet job in the game that can enter salvage with their pet out, we can pop the first floor poroggo madame in Zhayolm Remnants. Takes roughly 16~20 minutes to clear the puk wing and kill the gent using only a wyvern. (of course mnk and pup can do this as well by naked punching. Mnk is the fastest.)
The wyvern is also a great help in tanking poroggo madames. Usually people deal with charm-ga by casting dia and waiting the charm out or by letting all DDs get charmed while a Mage kites (if they can stay out of range). This leads to a lot of lost time waiting for DDs to uncharm while no damage is being done. As a drg you can set your wyvern on the Madame, run well out of range (remaining engaged), and let the other DDs attack until they are charmed. The charmed DDs will turn on the wyvern. Steady wing > spirit link and run in to finish the Madame while your wyvern tanks the DDs.
I use a similar strategy to avoid brain jack from the boss of silver sea remnants. I usually go to SSR as drg whm thf. When brain jack mode begins > super jump. Boss will turn and brain jack the Thf. Once the Thf is charmed both he and the boss turn on the wyvern. The boss will continue to try to brain jack the wyvern until brain jack mode is over. Once brain jack mode ends you can attack again normally, making sure to keep hate low with high jump and super jump. If you are worried about hate, turning away and letting the wyvern tank until super jump is ready is fine. I much prefer this method to kiting the boss. Brain jack timing is much more predictable and TH is never reset from de-aggro. Of course a bst or pup could do something similar I'm sure.
There are more efficient jobs for doing the three events you listed. Most people choose to play drg not because it is "the best" but rather because they enjoy role-playing AS a drg. That being said, a well geared/experienced drg can perform well in those events.
