ahhh. I guess I always assumed damage had to be associated with it. I looked at the wiki again, I didn't realize non damage dealing-enfeebles get an accuracy boost too... cool :D

Aspir and Aspir 2 are particularly nice when the mob has MP. :) Most of the time it's not planned but it's still cool! Kinda like finding out the cake was a lie in Portal. :D

Probably because its nigh impossible to time a burst in modern FFXI where 3 WS will go off during a single spell cast.

Seems like SC > MB might be a way to land those stubborn procs that can be resisted from time to time, or at least one would think.

Decreasing resistance doesn't help when the mob is immune.

Kids these days don't know what fusion is.

Yes, Sorry, Fusion. It's still a Light Skillchain, and referred to as such, when figuring out skills to put together to break trial weapons etc.

Why would you be wasting time casting spells that won't land on mob due to it's immunity?

Forgive me for assuming that people wouldn't, and/or that someone would say "Hey mage, that mob is immune". At least with the new 'enfeebling battle updates' you'll see text to know a mob is immune and not just a normal resist. ;)

Just me being quirky:

You can MB any "light" element spell on Transfixion, Fusion, and Light. However only the level three "Light" SC is referred to as a "Light SC"....
