I'm curious. I can't read any of the languages of the other forums on here. However, I looked in the French and German forums and there are like 4 - 8 threads. The Japanese have 11 pages of posts compared to the English of 18 pages. So, for anyone who can read Japanese, what are their hot topics? Like subligar or Dynamis changes? It would be interesting to know what their interests are.

Proposed face recruiting methods
Currently, recruitment and quests and missions are not only continue to place a lot of people shouting,
This is too much inefficient.
I really like this forum would be best.
So, what the system will not have to write a message in the game.
1) Chamber of Commerce Juno "Bulletin Board"
Write a message to the message board to pay some gil.
Found in each category look like auctions and message.
2) "立Te札" to be making a
Item "element of the bill" to use in its place "立Te札" stands.
Standing stone and a lot of annoying, because only the fields can be placed increasingly heavy objects.
Any comments about the number of characters in the search, the user can only enter the installation.
Set disappears or users disappear in about 24 hours.
"The Itsuitsu, where we, xxx are looking for" just enough information so grateful.
If you know it is there, dazed and without waiting for the shouting in the streets, you may even out in the population distribution.
An in-game public bulletin board. That sounds awesome. I'm totally for that lol.

After peeking in and reading a bunch of their posts it makes me want to slap some people who are just so damn ignorant about races and how they think people from different countries are.
These people have the same views as us, eat, sleep, breathe oxygen and play FFXI just like we do. It's just such a damn shame to keep hearing the bull crap about stuff like this.
Anyway, I think Google translate opens many opportunities to actually to go out and mingle with other people with different cultures and such because this is a whole lot better than the auto-translate function we work with in the game. BLEGH

I have ImTranslator on my Mac & it works amazing, very accurate & the such. I have been reading the JP forums a lot as their topics & suggestions are very good. I have only seen 1 thread about the servers & it was about moving them to a different location (I think only like 3 or 4 replies). They seem to really be interested in the Dynamis update & job changes. One thing you do not seem in their forums is negative people. I have read 6+ hours of threads & only seen a handful of negative responses. it is as if they actually have respect for other peoples opinions (unlike American's who will put someone down for saying anything they do not agree with).
We could stand to learn a lot from the JP. They are in a time of need & are still in good spirits. they treat their fellow players with respect & accept everyone's opinion without bashing them for it.
Way to go guys, keep the spirits up & think good thoughts^^

Not saying this is anything to do with it but I know the English language we speak is so versatile that something said can be misconstrue to something else.. Its funny to see them have the same topics (such as moving servers and info about updates) and no one is jumping on them about caring about the game instead of the crisis at hand..
Then again maybe they are just respectful culture (which is probably true because they derived from honor and respect to others in their culture) where American history is full of hatred, rebellion, and discrimination.. if only the Indians killed columbus and any other invading foreigner what a different culture this would of been..

One click and your current webpage will run in Google translate (or other service if you want). As always, translation engines can be a bit rough (especially translating far-east languages), but it gives you a good enough feel for what is being said most the time.

The thing is though. And I do play with a lot of Japanese players -- good and bad(the ones that, as you say, "bash" other players), and they do say that their "respect" (they also call this pride) is to the point of being detrimental. I mean why do you think that NAs were the first to legitimately kill PW and AV? (They're still a bit annoyed by that too) I guess their respect for their leaders prohibits them from saying their opinions on a strategy, etc. I didn't say this, by the way. I'm just quoting from what some of them say, which was interesting.

LOL i do remember 7 years ago when JP wre ultimate in FFXI. NA players could not even come close to doing the things they were accomplishing. Now we have finally made ourselves equals, which is nice to be anyways. I remember my first JP friend, he helped me a lot and did make me a better player. They are very nice to play with/chat with. I could not imagine going through what they are & still being able to remain calm & talk about things on a normal level. i would be on a rampage, bashing people for even thinking of something little alone starting a thread about it.
But that is what makes us different, their beliefs & culture are a lot more relaxed then that of NA's.

My very first Japanese friend came from playing Phantasy Star Universe believe it or not lol.
Thanks to the Xbox360 I could actually use my voice to communicate with them. There was a woman who was from England who lived in Japan for 5 years or so and spoke Both English and Japanese, she translated a lot of things I didn't understand for me and introduced me to all the Japanese players she hung out with. One of my favorite people from the group was so funny, loud and pretty down to Earth, he was completely respectful and always Addressed me as Miss which I felt wasn't necessary lol We always joked about teaching the other the opposite language even though he spoke and typed better English than most people. xD
Those were the good ol days, wish I could have the same experience like that in FFXI with a lot of people honestly.

To each their own though, if that is what he feels is necessary for him to keep the enjoyment of the game alive then so be it.

It would be wonderful to have a good translate tool in game. Not sure we would always understand but it could be interesting.
You know the japanese can be very rude but probably they show it in different ways usually. remembering the guy who was screaming at me in east sarut for killing a gob he had his eye on. Also remembering dying in jungle because they yelled to run and I had no clue what they were saying. They came back raised me and were very apologetic. Not their fault because truth is I am very bad at the autotranslate anyway.
Its funny how we all talk about how rude we in the US are but its more a human trait that a countries trait. Remember Columbus was Italian. Cortez was Spanish as were many of the early explorers. We are the 'mutt race' of the world which means we are a bit of everyone. We are not any different than anyone else except that we have been in the top in power for awhile which makes us the one to blame for everything apparently. What we ought to remember is we are always concerned, as a whole, when people need help. I think anyone in the human race is the same unless their circumstances have been so bad as to drive that out of them.
You know what is really good? We are also very self critical. Maybe past reason at times. It does mean there is always someone out there reminding us we are not brewing a god potion because we are not gods.
