View Full Version : Neo-Limbus sucky Gear and why nobody will do it, thx SE

There's a few pieces that can be used for a few jobs but on the whole all 4 sets are extremly disappointing.

I opened up my orginal limbus static, which includes myself, a partner, and my whm mule; to neo-limbus last week. I recruited a sch, brd, and 3 dd's. We cleared neo-omega's basement II for the first time 1/1 last week for his pop ki with 10 minutes to spare.

Upon recieving 0 drops from all three chests, and a review of the four sets of armour from the neo bosses, I was told that while everyone had fun, that only my partner and one DD will be returning.

This event was dead the minute it was launched because the gear sucks. In order to get people to do it, the gear has to provide more appeal than just to smn, or pld's. One can't except people to do content that other people are not willing to do because of poor rewards. The homam feet and hands should have been +5 haste, or +4 haste and 15acc or something. The stats are the worst conception in a long time, and NOBODY wants to do the content, so the few nuts like myself that want to are forced out because we can't fill our static to do it because everyone else sees it as junk, which it IS.

At least neo-einherjar has gear that grants war and other dd -49%damage taken, if they have d-ring and other gear items to complete their damage taken set. What SE was thinking by releasing neo-limbus gear, and postponing it at that, are a big WTF+LOL.

If you agree, please post a like and maybe the DEV won't give out crappy Salvage upgrades, thereby completely killing any hope for Mythic owner wannabe's. Thank you.

Welcome to Tanaka FFXI.

Everything is just a side grade to easily acquired gear, or a down grade to moderately difficult to acquire gear.

We can expect some sort of adjustment this winter at the earliest, most likely not till late spring next year.

Another thing to add to how bad Neo-Limbus was, is that they only gave bosses, no extra climb or anything. Bosses alone are not enough for an update that is supposed to add content, it was at best a few runs worth and it would be over/boring I'm sure.

My WAR has been at the PDT cap (50%) for a long time, without d ring or new gear. New einherjar drops and d ring itself are just +inventory, not extra PDT.

The devs clearly stated many times that good gear must be impossible to get (nyzul) and easy gear must be crap tier/sidegrade tier (VW and now Limbus). This worked for the AF2+2 augments too. They made a poll asking players to chose between crap tier augments easy to get or random synergizied god tier augments; of course everyone chose easy to get static augments, because everyone hates random, but we see the result now. I dont know why good gear has to have 0.001% drop rate or should need cheats to be acquired.

Because SE is stupid when it comes to this. They don't understand people don't want alot of annoyance, luck, and boredom involved in getting a piece of gear that is really nice. Make it progression or skill based, not Embrava & Luck based.
