Issue with in-game item obtained via Vanafest i attended

Hello,

This is for any admin out there who might see this. I am currently stationed at NAF Atsugi, Japan on a 2 year shore billet. I saw that Vana'fest was being held in Yokohama so i saved up some money and went. I managed to put up with the super long lines and did the random deal thing for 500 yen and got a code that gave me a Bonanza Kupon S ticket. I was excited at first but now i am really frustrated because i have no way to redeem this kupon for 10 tantra body seals. Normally we trade in bonanza kupons to the moogle dealers during the event, but since this year the bonanza was in real life and what not, how am i to obtain my prize? I have checked every place i could think of, translated alot of pages, and can find no information to assist me in this problem. After FINALLY getting a GM on the game, had to request help a ton of times and get kicked back thanks to the damn auto-reply thing, his/her suggestion was to post my problem here. So, here it is. i will be keeping tabs and hope to find a resolution soon.

I'd imagine you do it from your SE account page:

Scroll down and pick "Select Service" > choose the FFXI option > click "Add a Service Account" button > input code.

Unless you tried that, then I'm as stumped as you are.

yeah, i did that to obtain the kupon itself. i have the item in-game but no way to trade it for the seals

You might have to wait till the next Mog Bonanza as I know that there's two moogles that appear during the event. One hands out the marble while the other handles special prizes.

Not 100% sure, but was there not a Dealer Moogle at port windurst beside the consulate of bastok that trades seals for these coupons.. but only for a limited time!

sadly i have checked port sandy where there was supposed to be a dealer moogle. no dice. i have yet to see or hear of any dealer moogles around right now. they only show up for bonanza's and there will be no more bonanza's

Maybe try trading to the goblin daily tally NPCs? My understanding is that when we get the Golden Gobbiebags we will be trading the items to them to redeem (in NA/EU).... I don't know if its the same thing at all but, might be worth a shot.

i was under the assumption that you have to posses a JP account to be able to redeem it.

I've been reading about how on the JP Yahoo auction site, there is tons of Vana'Fest stuff going on there... but like its indicated above, the items are only redeemable with a JP account, from the sounds of it.

Even tho i was physically there and recieved the item myself? I got pictures and what not to prove i was there, i even spoke with the two NA SE community guys doing the live stream.....

receiving a physical item and receiving an in-game item are two different things. it doesn't matter whether or not you bought the item, since you don't have a jp account, you can't redeem the in-game item.

Last time I logged in with the japanese client there were a warning about glitches with the rewards moogle so it was removed temporarily.

I suggest you go to the Japanese page of the game, read the announcements there using google translate.

Thank you very much. this was the best suggestion i have had so far. looking at the translations it appears that they have temperarily removed the dealer moogle and will add it back in for a short time later. Hope this is the case as it was hard to read the translation.
