Wouldn't it be useful to have a spell or job ability that prevents buffs from wearing off? We already have a bootlegged way of doing this by touching a ??? or something similar, so why not make it part of the game!
I was thinking about a spell or job ability that sort of stops time by pausing buffs and job abilities status effect timers, so that they don't wear off. It also prevents aggressive mobs from attacking and disengages party members who are currently attacking a mob.
Here are some thoughts:
a 10'yalms aura or a party member status effect
under level 50 so that other jobs can use it as their subjob
causes a terror effect on the caster/person who uses (literally stops them in time)
duration lasts for 60 seconds
prevents aggressive mobs from noticing the players
disengages party members who are currently engaged in battle. (excluding NMs)
has a glowy effect on all members under its effect
Only stops certain ability timers
I vote it to be a lv45 WHM ability.
