Hello again!

I realize I've asked this question before (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/19561-Mythic-WSs) in other threads (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/21564-Assassin-s-Culottes-2) that weren't dedicated to the purpose, but I couldn't find when it was answered (if it was), so I'd like to ask them again.

Link: Level 99 Mythic announcement (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/19515-dev1065-Relic-Mythic-and-Empyrean-Weapon-Upgrades?p=261286&viewfull=1#post261286)

The description of Terpsichore claims that it "Augments Steps V" and Glanzfaust claims it "Augments Focus and Dodge V", as can be seen below on the level 99 aftermath descriptions, but neither of them have any apparent effect over the "Augments Steps" and "Augments Focus and Dodge" that were on the level 75 versions.

I do not know how it is for Glanzfaust, but the Japanese version of the Terpsichore description seems to package the two Terpsichore changes (Step Accuracy and Augments Steps) together as one entity, as seen below in Asymptotic's translation. I do not know Japanese, but would the description still be true if only one of the two things changed? For instance, I know that Step Accuracy increases between the level 75 (Step Accuracy +10) and level 99 (Step Accuracy +40) versions but I can find no evidence the "Augments Steps" (Finishing Moves +1) changes at all. Would that satisfy the Japanese description?

The Augments Steps changing on the Japanese version seems to imply they both increase.

D53 隔205 ステップ命中率&性能アップV
ピリッククレオス
アフターマス:命中+/攻+/時々2-3回攻撃
Lv99~ 踊

"Step hit rate & performance up V"
"Pyrrhic Kleos"
Aftermath: Accuracy+, Attack+, Sometimes 2-3 attacks.
LV99~ DNC

Would it be possible to get some clarification of this? Sorry, I do know that the description is different between the NA and JP versions, but I'm not sure if it reflects a localization error (meaning that "Augments Steps V" should be "Augments Steps").

When I turned in my Alexandrite (current value: almost 600 million gil), I was under the assumption that "Augments Steps" increased and gave more Finishing Moves at higher Tiers. This could have been a costly localization error for me, representing more than half of my net worth after 7 years of playtime. I realize it's likely beyond your power to refund me anything, but I would just like to know if it was or not.

Thank you~!

Hello!

I finished Terpsichore on the real server now (to 99) and still cannot detect any change "Augments Steps" between level 75 and 99. Is this a localization error?

Byrth,

I am sorry to say that this does seem to be a holdover from an earlier parsing of the Japanese text. The amount of finishing moves added has always been 1 no matter the numeral next to the ability, and I apologize for the English text being unclear about that.

It is probably of very little consolation to you at this point, but the only thing I can do is adjust the help text to be more clear so that something like this doesn't happen again. The numeral should no longer appear after "Augments 'Steps'" when the next version update is implemented.

Thank you! I am otherwise pleased with the weapon and glad to know that I'm not going crazy. If you feel like adding another effect to it though, I won't object. xD

Well as nice as it is to finally see some clarification on Terpsichore....

What is the deal with Glanzfaust? Is it supposed to read as Augments (Focus) I and (Dodge) V or Augments (Focus and Dodge) V?

If Focus is not supposed to go higher than Level 1, then the measly 5% attack is understandable, but if it is supposed to be level 5 at this point, it would be nice if the attack was reflected as such. As of now 5% attack equates to around 30 attack during Focus, or 12 attack average over the course of 5mins.

As far as Augments Dodge goes, from all my tests Dodge seemed to give only 5% more Guard Rate. This did not change at all between 75 Glanzfaust and 99 either. Does Augments Dodge do something different from Levels II-V or is it just broken?

Finally, I'd like an actual answer on whether Aftermath is intended to only work on the Main Fist? Magian Occasionally Attacks weapons were fixed to apply to both hands, shouldn't something as penultimate as a Mythic as well?
