Isgebind (Abyssea-Uleguerand) - Development Team PLEAD READ!

Hello Developers of FFXI, please read me!

In regards to the Abyssea - Uleguerand Notorious Monster, Isgebind....

Would you all please make a small minor adjustment to him please, add some AF3+2 armor jewelry to its potential treasure pool drop list please. Heck, it could just be two pieces of jewelry (up to two) each and if its drops at all, of course allowing Yellow "!!!" proc to further increase the drop rate.

To my knowledge, all the other major Abyssea NM's more specifically related to the Lv.90 Empyrean Weapon parts upgrades...

Isgebind is the only NM throughout the whole system of Empyrean Weapon (Lv.90 requirement) based NM's that do not presently offer Empyrean Armor AF3+2 parts (Armor Jewelry).

Its hard to do shout group and get people to help me with this NM, when they have no incentive to go on. As I'm sure by now, just about everyone and there mother's proudly either already has the atma or already got the Triplus Dagger and Isador Sword it drops.

I'm not asking for a difficulty nerf or anything like that, just an addition to the drop list of AF3+2 armor jewelry. So more adventurers such as myself needing this monster to finish a Lv,90 Empyrean weapon can do so with absolutely no difficulties in securing random adventurers to assist in the cause.

Looks at Orthrus, who would waste time on that NM, unless it wasn't for the jewelry. No one would help on that NM, if there was nothing for others to gain. You see what I mean Developers. This way randoms get the armor parts they need for helping and the Leader is getting the weapon parts they need for there Lv.90 Empyrean Upgrade.

I would certainly appreciate an approval of this request or at minimum an alternative means of resolving this concern.

- isgebind is the easiest 90items droper to pop (one KI from timed NM and can be chested)
- if you add yellow drop you add the need for a yellow proccer (need one more player)

and no, it's not the only NM for empy that doesnt drop +2s : t3 VNM doesn't drop any and have stupid to get KI.

edit: dont get me wrong i dont mind if SE add +2items, i just dont see it not droping any as unbalanced

I'm for it just for consistency. All other Empyrean mobs drop +2 items, even the equivalent Wyrm mobs in the other zones (Azdaja and Dragua), so I don't know why SE decided not to give it anything. VNMs don't count, seeing how Ochain/Daurdabla are exceptions to all other Empyreans as well (and VNMs are still consistent across zones, unlike Wyrms, because of Isgebind).

I agree with you. Isgebind is one of the easiest NM's that a nice well rounded group of 3-4 players can easily kill.

My point is, if no AF3+2 jewelry drops off Isgebind, what incentive do I or anyone else in need, have to offer to get other people to assist with this NM. The atma, triplus, and isador is no longer going to cut it.

I promise you outside of helping LS mates most folks wouldn't bother with Orthrus at all if it wasn't for all the AF3+2 Jeweltry that it dropped.

Totally agree with you, this NM should drop at least 2-3 types of jewels/coins/stones for plus 2 materials. Sadly, I doubt they will come back and revisit this, for them Abyssea is over, gone, and done for. They are not exactly proud of it, or think of it as their greatest achievements. Their focus is now to make sure no one is able to complete their new contents without some sort of cheat methods or jobs xyz. But we should keep bumping this thread, who knows, maybe there are small groups there that actually care about Abyssea.

And for any other EMPy lvl NMs that are being stingy with the "no other drops", you have my shame on you face. Let them have their treasure pools adjusted too, for consistency sake. Nothing worse than trying to drag people along to some NM with little/no rewards.

We need them to hold their promises to make the game more fun and enjoyable. I totally agree with you, they should revisit abyssea and revamp the drops on some of these NMs and add a bunch of plus 2, it is not hard to do and it will do wonders to bring more enjoyment for everyone who come and help. Sadly, highly unlikely this will happen.... and the last few responds from the community team are on the extremely negative side... and does not bode well for the future direction of FFXI, not while the unmentionable is still reigning freely. We need Yoshi back!! Someone should kickstart this, bring back Yoshi to lead FFXI to a glorious future of Version 2.0 :)

I hope not, I really do hope the Developers sincerely consider my request, and I hope I can gain more support on this from the player base community. Those that responded or "Liked" this topic thus far. Your participation in this process is most appreciated. :)

If they really wanted to increase morale they would give us more T2 and T3 VNM pops in abyssea because getting the T2 to upgrade is a kin to shooting yourself in the hand.

I agree, yes he easy to pop compare to certain NM, but this is sad he don't drop any +2 and kinda unfair. Also, Kur (the NM needed for KI for Isgebind) Doesn't drop any +1 or +2 either.

I agree also on the fact that that 95% of help I got from friends/ppl when doing those NM for empyrean Weapon is: They can upgrade +1 and +2 armor in the process.

Well, It has been a over a week now and no response from the Community Team or Development Team. Ordinarily, I would just assume there isn't enough traction for situations like these to get any action, and I would had just let this go and move on.

Usually it takes them much longer than a week to respond to requests, but I agree that this is something that they should definitely look at.

Agree that Isgebind is one of the easier NMs to pop. Also agree that he should drop some +2 items. The same about ease of popping could be said about Dragua (one key item, comes out of chests or off of a time-popped NM that is very near to the ??? spawn location), and he drops +2 items.

People say that because it only has one KI and the KI can be gotten from chests. The same is true for Dragua. And Dragua drops many +2 items. Same for the Grauberg one. I would love and farm Isgebind out the ass with shout groups if it could drop something like Jewels of Wieldance which I've found hard to come by. Or maybe balance items (coins please!)

Yeah it really makes no sense that Isgebind is the odd-one out here. He's about the same difficulty as Dragua so he should have the same level of loot. I'll give SE the benefit of the doubt and chalk this up to an oversight.

Only reason Dragua is harder is because he's earth based. Which means slowga and breakga, one slows your reaction times and the other stops it completely.

And the wing move is pretty impossible to get out of range of if your curing someone and it has a chance to petrify which causes problems. Other than that Dragua is the same difficulty. Azdaja is the only one hard to fight I think. Since it has EnEverything and can dispel both atmas and cruor buffs.

This is the best point here. He's on par with Dragua in about every way. 1 KI, gold chest, mob for the KI is right next to the pop.

As far as "Dragua is hard because of wings", everyone gets a fanatic's powder each kill for a reason.

@OP: Don't expect an answer anytime soon. The Community Reps just translate the post and if the Development team answers (which doesn't happen too often) they'll translate that back to us. It may never happen at all though.

I understand what you are saying, but I really want an answer on this request/concern. It's unfortunate to write a request/concern and get no reply from an SE team member whatsoever. I just want a SE reply back of any kind. At least I would know that someone seriously reviewed my request.

After all, what is the point in suggesting things on the Official Forums when its expected to return deaf ears, and if that's the case why have a Forum at all?

The point of having a forum, and correct me if I am wrong is for any player from the game to address a concern or make a suggestion that will actually get reasonable review & possible consideration and above all a response to said concern or idea, whether favorable or not, especially when you have a reasonable consensus of support from the player base community which this thread has.

Thus far, not even one reply from a SE Team Member. If they are that busy and simply haven't had the opportunity to reply back to this that's fine. If they however did indeed review this request and elected to be non-responsive; That's unacceptable! They should always reply even if its "No". Until I get a reply from a SE Team Member; every week or two I'm going to keep asking for one, respectfully of course. Once they give a reply, whether it be a message of intent or a straight decline, whatever it maybe until I get one I will keep asking every week or two for a reply to this concern. I assure you once they reply, I will thank them for there time and cease further submissions to this thread.

Believe me when I tell you, I completely understand where you coming from Arcon. Nevertheless, I generally don't post on this forum often, and when I do I have meaningful concerns, and requests to make, and when I do it's not often. If I reply to another player's posts I actually have something encouraging or meaningful to say to another thread's concerns. I don't get on the forums to say things like

responses like don't help or add to anything, just meaningless dibble of words, my point is... I get on the forums when I have something contributing to say, and it's not always a positive reply, Even why I reply negatively its within reason with a reasonable explanation as to why I disagree with a post. Otherwise I occasionally review posts and generally don't reply when I have nothing contributing to say.

It's not about my fancy. It's about a simple request I made, not receiving any response from any rep after over two weeks of submission. A community rep by now could had said something like "Hey Thanks for suggesting this, We sent it to the Development Team, as soon as we hear back from them we'll let you know what there intentions are if any. Thanks for your participation." Anything like that would had suffice.

I see no point in the Square Enix FFXI Official Forums, if we don't even deserve that much! This thread was straight up and reasonable from the start with reasonable player input and feedback.

This thread I'm certain deserves that much of an official response and it certainly deserves to know why this request was denied if it comes to that.

I digress, You seem to be correct on your point of me making additional requests for an Official Response is seeming futile at this point.

So I concede to your point, and I'm just gonna let it ride. Hopefully, SE will look at this request for what it is. Which is a request of consistency. That's it that's all. I'm done making comments on this thread, unless something else comes up worth responding too.
