From the "Testing in Progress" category:
A new method for opening the Banishing Gates in Garlaige Citadel has been added.
Players may open the gates alone by obtaining the "perfectly weighted stone" key item from the ??? target in Garlaige Citadel (G-8) and examining each of the three gates.
On the Test Server, I was able to find the ??? at the specified location, however the Key Item name is in Japanese in every instance in which it occurred.
This includes:
1. A message that occurs when examining any of the three gates prior to receiving the Key Item "If only you had a <key item name>, you could open the banishing gate..."
2. The message received upon obtaining the Key Item at the ??? "Obtained Key Item: <key item name>"
3. The message received to open any gate after receiving the Key Item "By the power of the <key item name>, the banishing gate opens for you"
4. It also appears in Japanese in the Permanent Key Items list after having been received
5. The text displayed on selecting the item in the Permanent Key Items list is also in Japanese.
In the first 3 instances listed above, only the portion of the message <key item name> was in Japanese. All of the other text of the message was in English.
It may also be notable that in my checking, all of the instances of Number 1 above were done from the back or inside side of the gate. But it did occur at all three of the gates.
Also, for the instances of Number 3 above, the message was only received when examining the gate from the front or outside side of the gate. When examining the gate from the back or inside side, the gate opened, but there was NO message.
I also can not tell if the Banishing Gate opens only for me, or if anyone else in the vicinity will also see it open and be able to pass through. However, the appearance I do see would indicate that anyone else would see it and be able to pass through. I am also assuming the previous method of opening the gates standing on the four platforms outside each gate will still work, although I have no way to check that since that would require four people to check still.
