Steps:
*Fire weather begins. Instead of the beach glowing and the sky radiating with heat, a horizontal bar of smokiness appears on the horizon and flickers very rapidly. The bar is somewhat thick, and extends from end to end on the screen.
*This glitch occurs even if weather effects are turned off.
*I'm posting this glitch to pass time while I wait for weather to clear. The flickering causes me eye pain.

This exact same thing happens to me aswell, and at least 2 other people I know, have experienced the same thing. First noticed it quite some time ago, well before the last version update.

The effect I get is a band across the middle of the screen, maybe a couple of inches or so high. It looks like the 'heat haze' is somehow being mis-rendered, instead of a 'shimmer' over the whole screen it's reduced to this banding effect. I'm pretty sure I've seen in it Altepa too but can't be sure as I've not been there too often since the update which caused this (some weeks ago).
