Keyboard Macro Lag?

Recently, SE adjusted the Macro lag so it would show faster when pressing ALT/CRTL. With this new patch, it seems it was removed. Why? its so annoying to wait a full second just to bring up a macro. If there is an option to bring back the quick macro, please let me know.

Somehow the ctrl/alt "fix" messed up using macros for a lot of people one way or another. Several reports of the severe lag for keyboard users (before the emergency maintenance) on other forums too.

The problem may stem from CTRL and ALT being used for other shortcuts as well...has a slight delay to be sure it's just ALT and not ALT-M or something perhaps? There isn't a delay though if you just go ahead and hit the F-key for your macro. At least, in the past there wasn't--ALt-F1 would fire my Stun macro right away regardless if the pallette was up or not. So if it's something critical like that, you should still be able to just hit it without waiting for the pallette to pop up.

Thank you, this helps a lot. Hope they get the issue resolved so I can use my macros more efficiently

I hope they fix this quickly too. The macros have always been an issue for me. I have never understood why there ever was a delay at all, seeing as that should all be handled client-side. It is now worse than it has ever been, playing a white mage is nearly impossible now. SE's servers must get 5 times the traffic from my client as I have to constantly mash the keys to get macros to fire.

I wonder why this has never been complained about before. Is there any reason why other players do not get this lag ?
