Why must we wait 6 months to be able to store items into slips? Would it be too hard to implement storable options when items are released? ...Now I have to keep these items or toss them since we all lack inventory space.
(Apologies if this was posted already, I did a search and nothing came up)

I totally agree with this, I think when they release event gear and items they should make it so you can store it right away be it with event storage(which it looks strangely like they want to phase out), or the porter moogle, and where is the ability to store the older event gear with the porter moogle? I cant store any of the harvest festival items I have with the porter moogle, it makes no sense to me

Yeah, even in the "glory days" when FFXI was receiving their full attention and wasn't just an afterthought it'd still take them that amount of time to make these items storeable. I never understood it, but it's just one more item on the list of things they do (or not) that I don't understand.

This is the sole reason why most people who do/did "hard core endgame" generally didn't do the events, they don't let us store enough to begin with... and it was worse in the glory days...
You can Dbox them to a mule on the same account.

Oh I know, still ain't a reason to not add it to the event storage slip or event storer.

and if you don't have a mule?
...
This has been brought up in other threads before. It's not like they don't know in advance they are adding R/E items that people may want to store. When they are adding them to the item tables, they SHOULD be updating the appropriate item storage tables as well. Why they don't is anyone's guess.....

If you don't have a mule, you can still send them to yourself and leave them in your delivery box. It's not the best solution, but it's what I'm going to be doing with them until storage options are added.
