POL Error Code 0011

Seriously SE, could someone at least aknowledge the problem? People from all over Canada, Europe and Australia seem to be having this problem, no way it can be our connections or computers. At least just let us know that you are working on it, cause right now it feels like nobody listens or care.

This usually is happening with the ISP's hardware, or somewhere in between.

If you want to see action taken on it, you will need to contact your ISP. If they aren't aware enough of what FFXI is doing because it hasn't already been reported, you may need to track the state of your connections with something like Netstat or TCPview, then run tracerts to those connections in "WAIT STATE" to see which ones are stalling, then forward that to your ISP for investigating.

We recently ran into this very problem with BT and O2 subscribers last month, and it was due to a failure with a large segment of their contracted network partners. The thread is still up on the first page of this forum:

Can't log at all and stuck on POL-1160 all the day. Also, I just been able to connect on those forum after 20:00 (EST). Seem everything from SE was Impossible to connect today, beside the starting page of FFXI official website, evrything from SE was blocked.

Also lot of ppl seem to have same problem on ffxiah forum via: http://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/30045/pol-1160-pol-0011/3/#1861981

This is not my internet provider cause everything else work (XBOX LIVE, Internet via Laptop...) but seem G3 connection worked for some ppl.

Now, pass 20:30, we are able to connect on server but we got R0 and the POL-0011 message after 5 min.

This is pretty frustrating that nothing via official page are announced for that problem...

Likely won't get an announcement about it from SE, as it's not likely on their end. Most of the time it's somewhere between the client and SE, which is both outside the scope of their awareness or power to fix.
