Thinking back and remembering where the outpost NPCs were placed. That being said, I find it kinda funny/odd that Square Enix put most VW NPCs where those outpost NPCs use to be. I can't help to wonder how long will it take to shorten the distance like they did with the outpost and abyssea NPCs.
Example: What really is the problem with placing those VW NPCs by the outpost NPC in Port Windurst.
Also about those NPCs that teleport us to Whitegate for 300gil, then having to walk to the NPC taru and trade him a Imp. Slv. Piece to tele to Jeuno.
Example: Can't we just get the options to trade 300gil for Whitegate or Imp. Slv. Piece for Jeuno from the first NPC and not having to walk through Whitegate just to trade with another NPC to get to Jeuno.

We need Abyssea NPC to be installed in Safehold and Whitegate, plus Selbina, Rabao and Mhaura. Anything to relieve the congestion in Jeuno.

Technically you can enter the chocobo circuit in Whitegate, there's abyssea npcs there.

may seem like a odd answer but blizzard uses it and it works a auto server disconnect if u go afkb for too long that would resolve the congestion. (and yes dont let the players turn it off)

They already have that, but thankfully it can be turned off (well, in most cases (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/20177-Guest-or-New-Player-20min-default-log-out)...) because it seems like an utterly backwards idea. "Let's relieve congestion by kicking players!"

If your ultimate goal is to get to Jeuno, why not have the Atmacite Refiner teleport you to the zones right outside Jeuno? Why are you going to Whitegate?

You know you can always go to your Home Nation...?

There are already Abyssea NPCs in tons of places. Jeuno is congested because thats where the shouts are.

it would be good idea cause u would only be removing players who arn't really playing and u know what that would solve the avatar problem too without a job adjustment,

Yup, only a few ways to fix that I can think of:
1) Remove EVERY NPC from Port Jeuno bar Teleport Men, thus allowing more people to stand in there.
2) Add the Yell feature to additional areas.
3) Use the Chocobo Circuit as the Shout/Yell area and remove the options to Yell/Shout from Jeuno.
4) Kick you from Jeuno after a certain period of time, non-removable.
Even with any of these the main problem is still the limit on the number of people, visible and invisible NPC's that can be in one area.
Abyssea NPC's are no longer the problem anyway anymore.

It wouldn't be a good idea because it's punishing everyone (both with the congestion issue as well as with the SMN issue), despite only a few people being at fault. There are plenty of good reasons to afk in Jeuno, like waiting for shouts for events or trying to find buyers/sellers for items.
Also, what's the line? 20min? Many people would be d/ced unnecessarily. 1h? Wouldn't help because most people in Jeuno don't even afk that long.

lol what so having to log back in would be considered a punishment?
and u can bazaar while online like i do and if u wanna sell it that bad why not just shout sell it as talking would prevent u from being logged out. >.>they could also make a new chat channel that allows talk in all city areas.
and id say 10 mins or so probably would be good i would think.

Way too short. People should be punished for AFK'ing and blocking spaces in Jeuno for the majority of the day while at work or otherwise, not for going to the toilet or grabbing something to eat.

If people want to sell something, they're not gonna limit their shouts to a single chat channel. Giving them another is just creating more places for shout-spamming.
Honestly, I'll take the hundred some-odd AFKers in Jeuno, over a chatspammed zone where you need to filter everything (and subsequently filter out a shout for something you might actually need).
Since you can teleport everywhere from your home nation, I don't know why you'd even want to spend time in Jeuno... unless you're there for the bazaars, which wouldn't exist if they get bumped off the game for being AFK "too long."
I fail to divine the actual purpose of this "bump AFK players offline" suggestion.

More importantly we need a spell/item that has infinite charges for any/all characters and jobs that allow you to use this spell/item and teleport the user to any area at all in Vana'diel and its alternate universes via a menu that pops up after this item is used. That way there will never have to be any running at all in the game unless you're running away from a big, scary mob.
Yep, SE add this now!

No..
I think this is better.
Allow players to invite/join parties from any location (gathering issues solved)
Allow players to listen to shouts/yells from all cities or their mog house. (this will reduce going to Jeuno)
Make zone specifically for bazaaring items that's linked to all nations like the chocabo circuit.
Or
Allow some sort of remote bazaar checking/buying/selling from inside A mog house. You could go AFK with your bazaar up and people could check you from a bazaar search menu option at a mog house if you had a bazaar selling flag up. Check player mog shops.
The last one is a long shot but it'd be interesting if it happened. People wouldn't be standing around in zones clogging things up they'd be invisible inside a mog house. I'm just throwing out stupid ideas so, don't take them seriously.
would be really nice for the synergists to be able to sell you the earrings we use to teleport us to towns. I dont have to walk anywhere to get to a town.
