This one is purely for my own sanity. After doing more salvage runs lately, Ive been thinking that the Cells used to remove restrictions should be made Rare.
Since each player only needs one, it wouldn't be hurting anyone. However later in salvage, or if your running against the clock, you might not have time to divvy out each individual cell every time they drop. Having them Rare would allow any that are auto sorted to be sorted out more evenly between players.
And if nothing else, at least we wont end up with 25 of the same cell in our inventory...

My one comment on this is that the mechanics of the socket NMs would have to be adjusted if your suggestion is implemented.

I don't see how well this would work if the idea would be to use the cell when you get them. Thus, no longer having said (R) Item in your inventory.
Though, It would alleviate the chances of getting duplicate cells say, If a buttload drop at one time, like some zones do. So it couldn't hurt. But you'd have to take into consideration what the guy above me said. Some mobs are popped using cells, and double those cells.

They need to put them as TEMP items that disappear when you exit.
Ultimately they just need to be redone, and even optionally removed and done so killing certain enemies give a random chance of removing the restriction for everyone in it.

Temp items can't be traded or bazaar'd, so if it went to the wrong person, you'd be SoL. Also I don't think Temp items can drop in a pool, at least, its never happened before.

The solution might be combining all of the suggestions: temp items with the ability of using them on others.
Cells will appear in temp item chests on defeat on a mob. NMs that double cells might have to be changed a bit, perhaps by using cell fragments instead of cells. Trade a temp item cell to the ??? (using a menu), to get fragments, then trade fragments to the ??? to pop NM that drops a chest with temp cells matching the fragments. Or some other system entirely.
Its a problem we have all lived through. IF you are to change the cells Id go with making them at least stackable in your inventory but ideally Id love to see them stop dropping when everyone has the ability unlocked and if they drop to a person then they are automatically used on that person (to stop people from not using them)

I like this idea best. I would not want cells to be rare because of socket NMs and ZR, as well as accidental lotting/passing. However this would hopefully go a long way toward preventing your inventory from being filled with cells and having something unfortunate happen.

I can understand socket nms being an issue. However accidental lotting/passing would happen either way. Its not as tho keeping them normal prevents that. You would just have to trade them over'

My point was that it makes it easier for a person to lot and hold duplicate cells for somebody else with less of an impact on inventory. It's not much of an improvement over the current, mind you, but it is ever so slightly better.

True enough I guess.
Though I hope in NeoSalvage they instead opt for temp items that drop randomly to every member, and only pop items/armour drops from enemies.
The beginning chest can still spawn with temp items for people to select.
If not, I hope SE at least do as someone suggested in them stacking... though to 99, not 12. I'll imagine it may be hard to do though if they don't remove them after each Salvage, since they have that lock in place.

IDK, Having to cycle through temp items in a stationary box would be a time killer above all else. Might just be better to make them stack. I feel for people with space limitation, But theres not a lot of other ways they can handle cells :X

Yeah, but in the end you'd save time with not having to keep lotting ones you need.
Though they could just do away with them, more artificial difficulty.

Not really, When it comes to lotting, You can do that while Auto-Attacking or moving, With a box, Its just stationary. So with Lotting you can multi-task and its not as much of a time sink, or any at all if you're good, compared to cycling through a box.
Doing away with them would be nice but I'm sure a few hard-cores would complain its baby-fying the event to be too easy... and in a way they'd be a little correct. But then again they could just design the event to be difficult for an un-blocked person, and remove the cells from Neo-Salvage if/when it comes out.

Exactly, Content should be difficult (but not impossible) without the need of gimmicks.

Has nothing to do with gimmicks or making things easy. I suggested it because i like things to not be annoying as hell. Challenging is fine. But their is a difference.
I'm open to any other suggestions/ideas, id just like to see something'

Maybe an option added to treasure to only allow one of each to the pt members, and all excess to pt leaders? Bit complicated, but could work. Would allow most ppl to not have to deal with 300 of the same cell, while still keeping the ones for the socket nms. Bit far fetched, but ill take anything'

This is the answer. It's simple, it helps with the inventory clutter issue, it allows them to be traded/bazaared during the run, and they can still be used to pop what needs to be popped. Just let them stack up to 99 and bingo.
