Just an idea. Perhaps we could have server specific threads where players could post what missions/quests/NM's/etc... they're looking to complete and can recruit others to assist. I'm sorry, but IMO with the game getting harder and harder to get a group together (for anything other than abyssea) it would certainly make it easier to post here and wait for a reply from others on the same server. Certainly beats sitting in Port Jeuno or White Gate and shouting for hours on end.

This is already on the cards as it's stated under the Forum Categories section of the following post. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/67

you know, I'm pretty good at reading between the lines too but after checking the reference post you mentioned, I couldn't see anything about server specific threads. job threads, yes... server specific threads... um... no mention of them.

I'm sure they will get around to it after the merger of servers.

Then maybe we should petition them to make it that way. Then the player base can have an easier time getting quest/missions accomplished instead of getting frustrated at not being able to find help and quiting the game. (even though we always come back... it's like an addiction... electric crack o.O')

It's not that kind of forum.

I'm not concerned with what it isn't... I'm more concerned with what it could become. If I wanted to traipse through 100's of posts listening to lil kiddies whine about how unfair this part of the game is or how broken this spell is I'd listen to my kid that does it all the time (BTW I ignore his bleating about the game too).

What I do however is put out a useful suggestion to help others in the game. I'd love to see something like this implemented.
