Now that feint starts at 2 minutes with additional merits only increasing TH proc rate I can dump those extra 4 merits and put them into something actually useful while keeping the good part of Feint. It's Win/Win. Thank you very much SE this was a great change.

The effect of TH levels beyond 3 are so slight that it is not visible in the statistical noise. I already start off with TH7 so further merits in Feint are essentially useless. Better to put them into Aura Steal where they will at least do something.

I have and have had feint 5/5 since before I took a 2 year break, when I read the changes I kept it thinking "great, 100% TH proc!" ..... it does not seem to work that way, TH seems just as random with or without merits in fient so it seems pointless to keep feint merits. I may try a little more, but its either bugged or working as intended, and if its working as intended I intend to drop extra feint merits.

Well I was informed it's actually a 100% bonus to your chance to raise TH. But, there is one thing... stacking Feint with SA/TA gives a VERY high chance to proc.

Define Stacking... Any SA or TA performed while Feint is on the mob are increased? Or popping feint then SA or TA then hitting the mob while you have both buff icons? After an evening on THF yesterday, I completely forgot about the new change until the end and only tried it once. Land feint on the mob, then SA and hit it. No TH upgrade from that. If it's not 100% upgrade I think I'll bin the merits. Normally the only time I hit feint is when a NIN is trying to proc earth crusher on a NM in abyssea or something.

what a worthless merit upgrade lol. If only there were other usefull thf merits in cat2. well i guess i can do 5/5 assassin charge now, doesn't look as bad as before. I mean, they made nightingale a 100% instant cast ability, and now I have no trouble casting 8 buffs or more in the 1 minute window with my DDB 99. They could have made feint 100% proc.

People would easily get to TH50 or something crazy lol and the game would collapse.Never would have happened and even if it was coded to reach such levels you cannot tell me you don't know SE wouldn't have already planned for it and adjusted the drop rate accordingly.

And even if people tried to THF army shit just for a high drop rate, goodluck beating jackshit with THF armies. So, it wouldn't have been the end of the world if 5/5 feint gave a guaranteed TH proc when it was used. But no, this is SE we're talking about. Even when having TH30 as a minimal upgrade to drop rates(because you know that's how it's got to be coded if TH proc was guaranteed because SE would NEVER design it in such a way that you could attain near 100% drop rates)SE just can't give THF nice things.

But it doesn't matter to me really. I'm loving my new MMO because it's about fun and not slave driving your time. I just wanted to comment on TH procs being broken because there's no such thing. SE would sooner kill themselves than allow us high drop rates. It's just easier to not guarantee a TH proc than it is to go back and recode the system.
