Since SE made mention of new pet TH gear, and with BST already having innate TH on certain jugs, Why not throw Pup a bone and give us a TH attachment? it could be any ele. I don't care, but that is an other tool of versatility that PUP can bring to the table!
My ls mates give me crap for always being on my PUP and ask me to be on something else for certain things, but when I am able to pull hate, keep it, and survive from a extremely well geared 95.lvl Kanagi Nin, you can't possibly tell me "pup is blah" or :"lolpup" when I am out doing you.. Yes, it doesn't proc in abyssea.. I get that. Yea WHM frame doesn't do the best cure job on others (they don't know how it works because they aren't a PUP). So having TH would actually be a reason to bring out the automaton and have TH gear wouldn't be such a bad thing!
BST recently got a away with murder, PUP can do the same thing, just differently and with much more skill required.. so not any old noob can hop on pup and look good (that is how I feel bst is now)
So SE, please take this into consideration with more updates for us! I think this would be a grand idea!

While i like the TH idea in general... it would not be good as an Attachment i think. If you said say : An attahment for the Valoredge or Sharpshot Puppet only.... then yes i can see it happen. But not as an Addition to whm or rdm Puppets it would make pup as hated as Bst (in Dyna).

BST isn't 'hated' for TH. It's for their ability to fighting a whole slew of desired mobs at once, and their insistence that they 'own' all of them.

If anything, people will like PUPs more, because they can proc WS+JA mobs better then others. That means mobs die and respawn faster, and lowers demand on JA mobs because PUP can also proc WS mobs effectively when JA mobs are scarce.

The only issue with it is that it would be the scaling.

1/2/3/4 with 0/1/2/3 maneuvers up? That is not a terrible progression

Knowing se though, they would do 1 of 2 things to implament it.
1) Make it cost something silly like 5~6 of a single element (fire/thunder/wind) so that only the melee frames could use it
2) Make it increase the chance to overload by a lot

Then you're not knowing SE very well... obviously they are going to put it on the Harlequin frame...

But joking aside, it's probably a wind(1) attachment that doesn't scale with wind maneuvers, or a wind(2-3) attachment that does scale, but only up to maneuver count. They wouldn't nerf BST pets, only to give it to automa... oh crap, they ARE nerfing those pets to give TH3 to PUP! It all makes sense now!

Pity the attachment will drop from the same place as Meteor and Arise, meaning PUPs are going to need to fork down a relic's worth of gil...

Same as the last thread asking for more pet jobs to have TH, I'll post this:

PUP already has a way to get Treasure Hunter, as shown here. Pet jobs are not special. I'd be skeptical that there will be a Treasure Hunter attachment in the near future, especially given this equipment.

All that said, I'd imagine if there was to be an attachment for PUP that grants TH in some way, it will probably be in the form of a Sharpshot frame getting Bounty Shot or an ability similar to it.

Actually, another possibility would be an Animator getting Treasure Hunter as an additional effect. I could definitely see SE making the Animator +1 able to be augmented to have Pet: Treasure Hunter +1 in part of their Synergy augment campaign.

This is not the much lower "+X Treasure Hunter" but actual tiers of it. Similar to THF's "Treasure Hunter" and "Treasure Hunter II" job traits.
