ferry pirates? where they go

ok I just literally rode the ferry from selbina to mhaura and back again 40 times and not a single pirate attack on the ferry

I've been trying to do the sand charm quest for a few months staying about the ship 30-50 trips at a time and NEVER running into the pirates at all...

did something change with them? back when I was a weak level 20 something there was a good chance of running into them within 4-7 rides.

how am i suppose to do the quest if the mobs never show?

Put a level 10~20 character on there, I bet you'll get one then. What I did when I was doing this quest.

What we use to do was set our HP in mhaura and ride the boat to selbina, warp back to catch the next boat heading for selbina; over and over.

There isn't really any point in this since pirates occur in both directions and ferries leave at 0:00, 8:00, and 16:00 from both towns simultaneously.

If I recall the pirate occurrence was more frequent on ships leaving Mhaura, bound for Selbina; that's why we did it that way.

We could ride the boat back and fourth between ports and have no pirate sighting but when leaving from the same port every third or forth passage encountered pirates. Perhaps it was because of weather we were setting HP in Mhaura; it's been a number of years since then and I'm not sure if any updates have been done regarding pirate attacks.

It would be nice if there was a way to check on pirate activity similar to besieged.
At any rate, I hope you have good luck in finding some pirates.
