Well I dunno about other servers but Quetzalcoatl is completely down. Just saw a sea of red dots in PJ, followed by a mass D/C, and now nobody can log back on.

Yeah I just got home and can't log into Lakshmi at all. The playonline home page says Lakshmi is "partially down". Just would like to know why and how long. Should I go be productive or something?! :P

I kept on hitting massive massive lag spikes and thought my Xbox was going to freeze up on me. It could be related to the quake from last year, they did say that service might be interrupted at some point without notification when they put the servers back up.

You got booted, my Xbox really did wind up freezing up and I had to force shut it down and couldn't log back in even on my Apple. I recommend patience and understanding until an official statement be made.

I bet my friend is pissed though, he was in Salvage when it happened.

You know I cannot tell if this is just my luck....or life's way of showing me the meaning of the word "irony". I literally just re-subbed today and downloaded the 8 hour update while i was at work. I'm driving home tonight thinking "At long last, I will finally get my fix of this game after 3 years.", and seriously....what to I log into? Wait...where's the PLAY button? What's going on? NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Yup, let's just say, maybe I let my nostalgia get the best of me. Oh well, the way it seems it's going to work anyway is like this... I log in finally, look and realize that Midgardsormr is truly gone, I take a look at the broken LS sitting in my inventory and think back on all the folks I miss, try to take some time to find my bearings in the game while sitting in /sea for eternity, go do some soloing as i used to on my DRG when it was actually tough...well, kinda lol. And then what? Go look at all the places I've been, the subjobs i have never leveled.

As much as I was excited, I realize that after reading these forums and seeing all the complaints from the people who have stayed loyal/true to the game, that it may just be a /cry fest. Nobody to help the newbies when they do try to take the plunge, and just general lack of cheer..... I hate to see this die...and I blame this gd inability to log in at this moment for all of it!!!!! LOL I will be on Queza I guess now, and would love to meet new or old players. Let's go run through La Thiene with our level 1 mules naked and see who can make it to Selbina first!!!!! God i miss crazy stuff like that. Anyway, when this does get back up, which I hope is SOON, look me up, The names Gojyo as you can see. Maybe some of us can try to relive somethings before the day like this comes and there won't be anymore "When the servers come back up." Nice to be back even if I technically haven't had the chance to be "back" yet lmao :D

I have, a year back. I tried logging in one day and couldn't and figured there was some kind of emergancy maintenance, but there was no notice of this on POL. Two days latter the problem was still persisting and I was getting upset because of it. And then I went to lunch at McDonalds and saw that Japan got hit by a huge earthquake/tsunami on CNN (I don't watch mutch television at home) and I finally understood why.

A month latter they turned the servers back online with the warning that the servers may have to be turned off without warning. So seriously everyone... Chill out.

hay, guess what, they just did give us that information. Seriously, they need time to investigate the issue before they can tell us what's exactly wrong and when/if there's going to be maintenance. Tho with the time they gave for when it starts... it should have started 3 hours ago, but the servers are all up.(they haven't said that it's resolved yet)

(A bit late to say it, came up with it an hour ago but.. lol) Just the idea of meteor being epic caused the servers to crash, this is also the reason we rarely get amazingly epic stuff, its too epic for the servers, so to be safe, SE gives us nerfed versions of their original ideas >.>; A couple people found that hilarious

The server issues started at roughly the same time as this event, it is likely the 2 are related. The storm has caused dead zones in many communication methods.
