I'm sure we have all loved the increase in cap for adventuring fellows, but I think there some things that can be improved on.

The recent updates with pup have aroused some thoughts on how the AF can be improved.

I would like to express that the AI for the fellows is not very good; even with the advanced tactics of the fellow are very lacking. Other than leveling there really isn't very much that can be taken advantage of with the fellow. Maybe I am missing the whole point of having one, but to me there isn't really a point if it is only there to level and those rare situations when you need cure bombed for part of a fight.

There are 2 tanking tactics which serve no real purpose as the fellow does not deal enough dmg to support a dd.

the dd tactics are good for completing the quests in which WSs are needed to complete them but like the tank, it does not deal a significant amount of dmg.

The healing tactic is the most popular and useful I'm sure, but mp is spent so fast and spell use is somewhat inefficient. With the recent upgrades with pup I know that things can be improved on if chosen. It would just be nice to get some more use out of our hard earned npcs, which, honestly is a very tedious task to undertake.

Some ideas I have thought of are just overall improvements in spell usage and mp efficiency, maybe even quests or merit categories for npcs, or gear that can be equipped for better performance.

Any thoughts?

I would like if you could chose which spells or weapon skill your npc uses...something like a new tactics manuel...just for npc spell or weapon skill selection

They could indeed use some improvements (like a time-machine to go back and make the post-70 level quests something like the pre-70 quests were), but I don't know how much they have 'space' to expand on them due to certain... limitations.

Here's a thread with a couple of pages (I have 40 per page) of discussion about this sort of stuff:

I think my biggest qualm is with the AI itself. other things would be nice, but the AI definitely needs improved.
