View Full Version : Another new player thread
Hello everyone,
Character name: Bled
Server: Asura
Race: Male Elvaan
I am a returning player that used to play back near the end of CoP so im really behind on the game. I have all ready got my character started and read a lot of new player guides and i feel that im adequately brought up to speed on the game. At this point i am just looking for a friendly LS that's interested in helping out returning/new players. I hope to see you all online and thank you for your consideration.

If you are looking for a Linkshell but not advice you're best off posting in the Asura server subforum unless you intend on changing servers to whomever offers to help you.

Well he did post it on the "New Players" forums, I suppose that kinda make sense,no?
When someone ask for help, I wouldn't offer an under-handed suggestion and expect a pat on the back. So far, thanks to SE, the community has gotten real spoiled and self-centered. Be ready to expect a medium ratio of every kind of player here Bled. I'm comfortable on the world/server I'm on cause I know people there for many years. If only there were a thread explaining the ratio of link-shells on each server and for what cause...(that is if your willing to migrate to a new server).
There should be a group on the "Linkshell community Board" (http://fanzone.playonline.com/lscom/worldPortalTop.do?EQUIP_LINKSHELL_ID_STRING=f-2BOajgcM4rphMCBWJtXUFg-3D-3D&VIEW_LINKSHELL_ID_STRING=f-2BOajgcM4rphMCBWJtXUFg-3D-3D) for Asura, explaining who's who in Vana diel. Explaining their goal for like-minded people. On HERE (http://www.ffxiah.com/search/linkshell?server_id=28&recruiting=1&social=1&leveling=1), you can find more LSs on different worlds too( adjust the filter). My advice is to be patient and gather as much intel, research and make friends as calmly as you can. It's an MMO, I'm sure you'll make it. Many servers should have their strengths and weaknesses, if only there were helpful threads discussing them.
Unfortunately, I don't run a LS or organize events but I am still part of a Dynamis LS for over three years now.
Welcome back to Vana diel!

Welcome back to Vana diel!
I thank you greatly for the information and i hope if a new/returning player stumbles through my thread your information will also be able to guide them.
I did state I'm a returning player so i do remember the time it took to not only find a good LS but also one that was tailored to my likings. Now a days though, i don't think anyone can argue that FF11 is no longer in its golden years and with the population down and so many people in end content it is much more difficult then it all ready was to find a LS especially as a returning new player. I came to these forums, in the new player section, in hopes to try a new method of communication that was not available officially back when i played.
for now though i am happy talking to the occasional person adding them to my friends list and then soloing on. With leveling so easy now, and even acquiring gil so much more easy then i remember, i am in no desperate need for a LS outside of just having people to talk to and the occasional help on things such as sub job unlock.
And on a side note my old account was long gone, checked with SE on that one, thus I'm here fresh.
