Hello, I am aware that the Character Reactivation is down because of the square/playonline merge thing that's going on. I understand that in order to access the character reactivation sequence, you must manually make a request v.i.a the contact us part of Square Enixs' website.
My question is, has anyone actually used this feature since the merger?
Also.. if so, How long did you have to wait to re-obtain your long lost (within 3 month) character's you deleted?
Thanks very much for your time,
Drutaru-

As far as I know, the service is down no matter how you go about it. I believe there is a post around here somewhere from a few weeks ago where one of the SE Reps hinted at it possibly coming back later this year. Honestly, though, whatever you lost can be reclaimed starting over very quickly unless, of course, your account has uber gear and millions of gil.

Not true, if you go to the website support system it does say that since the automatic-reactivation has been taken down, they will do it for you manually if you fill in X.Y.Z form. I just wanted to know if anyone have done this and or how long it's taken them to get their character?

Drutaru,
I spy at least one happy comment here, from user Saefinn:
Deffo good news. ;) My friend is in the process of downloading the updates now that he's got his character back, so I guess it wasn't so hopeless after all. :P
I would imagine it is very much dependant on the work-load they are experiencing at the time, and some cases might require longer than others so I don't think anyone can really tell exactly how long it would take for someone, unless they try, and still it could vary.
Good luck!
Rewyen,
Perhaps you missed this announcement?

Drutaru,
The automated Character Reactivation Service provided through the PlayOnline website is still unavailable, as you can see. However the information provided by Dragoy is correct; we have resumed offering a manual character reactivation service, available through the links provided by Dragoy.
We are working as quickly as possible to process all applications, but please be aware that this is manual in the sense that a representative must receive the ticket, ensure that all terms are agreed to, and then locate your account and try to locate the requested character. Such a manual process does take time per ticket, and then there’s the volume of tickets to deal with.
However please rest assured that as long as the request is submitted properly, through the appropriate channels, we will do our best to recover the requested character. That being said, please be aware that neither the automated or the manual service is a guarantee that the character you are looking for will be able to be recovered, even if we will do our best.
