I had some thoughts about 2 hour abilities. Some are good ideas, some are decent, some are just random thoughts I had.
Puppetmaster: Meltdown
I always thought that while Puppetmaster, giving my auto the ability to explode similar to Mijin Gakure would be an interesting ability. Have it's damage directly proportional to it's HP, MP, and / or remaining time on the recast timer of Activate.
Beastmaster: Syncronize
On a similar note, a good Beastmaster 2 hour ability might be to give the pet the original 2 hour of the job it is. For example, Dipper Yule would gain perfect dodge. Gooey Gerard would gain Mighty Strikes.
Red Mage: Perfect Atunement
The ability to cast 1 enfeebling spell with perfect accuracy, even on monsters that would normally be 100% resistant to the spell. Guarantee the enfeeble to last at least 30 seconds.
Paladin: Invictus Totalus
The Paladin absorbs compleatly all Melee and magical attacks and then unleashes a percentage of it back on the target at the end.
Summoner: Ultimate Summon
Calls forth an avatar of the summoner's choosing that appears in its' Perfect form and deals a special new ultimate ability upon the target. For example, Once used, the Summoner would call forth Ifrit who would then use a special powerful Fire ability on the monster dealing severe damage.
Black Mage: Meteor
We've all wanted it forever and this is a decent way to put it in. This job ability acts like a spell. It summons a giant Meteor that does massive non-elemental AOE damage and also weakens the monster to more non-elemental damage similar to the way Comet and the other *ja spells work. Melee hits would count as non-elemental damage.
White Mage: Wall
This job ability would act like a spell. All party members within area of effect would gain damage resistance. It would start at 100% damage resistance for, say, 10 seconds, and then drop to 90%, and then 80%, etc in 10 second intervals until the ability compleatly wears off.
Corsair: Felix Summit (Peak luck)
Causes all dice rolls to turn out their best numbers and doubles any effects that would produce for the duration.
