ADD-ON CONTENT NOT FOUND

hello,

I recently installed my FFXI on my new pc and everything update so i figured ready to play right I tried to run it i get to the screen to select the characters but it won't let me access says that it's missing add-ons and well i run FFXI on my laptop as well and that seems to work i tried to install it with steam but i was having issues so any thoughts? how do i get the add-ons to install?

might want to provide more info:

What is your source? Abyssea Addition, Ultimate Collection, Vanadiel Collection, etc.?

What was the problem you were having with installation?

Have you applied the proper Content ID's?

To add (on) what RAIST asked: Are you trying to log-in a character that is in an area included in some of the expansions/add-ons, without having the required expansion(s) installed on the other machine?

For A Crystalline Prophecy, A Shantotto Ascension, A Moogle Kupo d'Etat it is required to have FINAL FANTASY XI, PlayOnline, and Rise of the Zilart installed, and registered.

For the Abyssea add-ons, FINAL FANTASY XI, PlayOnline, Rise of the Zilart, and Wings of the Goddess are required.

If you install via Steam (which I personally would avoid if possible), you should not install PlayOnline viewer by any other means beforehand; only use Steam to install everything related if that is what you are going for.
