Hello, I am a returning player from a LONG time ago ('back in the day' when FFXI was a wee baby and the game was a grindfest from hell). I have recently decided to give FFXI another go -especially seeing as how Blue Mage and even Dancer has since been added.

Just thought I'd say hello, nice to see that fire crystals and crawler silk are still worthy money makers for lowbies like me

I'm looking to do missions, and I was finally able to come back from an 8-month break due to the billing system. I've got SAM and BLM leveled fairly high to do magic or melee during missions. I've got sacks for 2 nearly dead shells, and a friend I just started on the game, but it would save us buying a shell.

Check there Shark, Grommet has a wonderful shell for newer players. I honestly think you will like it there. Very helpful players, some old, some brand new.
