I thought this forum was supposed to be for feedback on what direction to take the game . . . . Are all the SE employees on lunch or out at a club getting hammered . . . . because most of these post's get ignored . . . . . Specially the SMN forum . . . . . What the hell is going on SE? We are giving you the feedback its about time you start considering it and responding to your own forums that are supposedly for a "Better Game".

Feedback and Players call the shots are not the same thing. That's not to say there aren't plenty of majority votes on important/specific changes that need to be addressed. None the less, every suggestion, idea and feedback will not make it into the game. Don't expect it too.

This.
SE reads the forums. It doesn't mean they have to act on any of it.

On the one hand, yes SE needs to listen to what the playerbase wants to keep the game alive. But, they also have to give it over time so we never get everything done that we want to. There should always be more to do that we haven't done yet. The problem right now is that Abyssea removed the old thing that everyone hadn't done yet its the I still need to level X job.

This is just me being hypothetical here, but say I were an employee of SE monitoring these forums, the first thing I would say is that everyone has an opinion. Some of them are good. Some of them are rubbish. No offense to any one particular person, but its true. Adding new areas and retweaking jobs, in my opinion, far outweighs the senseless desire to auto-default certain Yes/No options. That is what the game needs. More. But for that to work, things need to be considered and it won't happen overnight. It is fair to say that, from the threads I've read, that the vast majority of players are just bored. I blame Abyssea for that. I'm sure when it first came out, it was a much needed breath of fresh air, but it really took the challenge and need for interaction away from this game. That is why, were it my decision, I would limit it in a similar fashion to Dynamis in that a player would need to meet certain requirements. The ones I would choose would be the player must have at least on 70+ job, Rank 6 and progressed to a certain point in both CoP and WotG and would have to complete a series of quests and cutscenes to actually be able to do anything in there. It comes off as ridiculous that any player 30+ can just go leech a ton of exp and be maxed out three days later. So, to alleviate post level crunch boredom, we are given weapons to break and spend a crapton of gil on by doing what? Mindless whacking away at things. That's not exciting. If anything, it's dull and likely to put a player to sleep. But, that is the only real thing to do once you've made it to the top and haven't burned out from Sea/Sky/Dynamis, etc.
My point is that this game, once upon a time for every single person here, was all about adventure. Banding together, defying the odds and discovering new lands. That's all gone now, and I think that is what SE should really refocus their attention on. Bringing that back.

I know that all ideas are not gems . . . . but some of them are . . . . I mean SE should take some of the job tweak ideas from players. . . . not like crazy ones that are way far out but the more rational ones that will make the job better and not over powered . . . ..

That's almost the most depressing thing I've ever seen. Now, I miss all my old friends who have quit over the years.

Oh, but they have. It's just that even if an idea actually has merit, it still has to be evaluated, balanced, scheduled, coded, etc. Sometimes you might not even recognise the original suggestion anymore.

far outweighs the senseless desire to auto-default certain.
Your opinion of what my opinion to help further increase my enjoyment of the game doesn't matter. Unlike most people on this forum I think the game works great. Just because I wish and several others wish to tweek the game's log in GUI doesnt make it less important than JOB adjustments.
My feedback was only for myself so I posted it the fact that you are still on a tirade about it because you think that them working on tweeking Auto-Disconnect will take away from other "what you call important things" shows me how much you really need to move on and not play this game.
If you really have this much of a problem with the game PLAY ANOTHER game. end of story
and because of that I'm going to bump my thread

First, hahahahahaha!! While I did give another player (not you) grief over the auto-disconnect thread (I was arguing with him because he was being a pompous asshat, I could care less about the idea as I said several times if it makes players happy, I'm all for it. He flamed my respond with an attitude and I responded in kind), I was not referring to YOU or YOUR thread when I wrote that. But hey, if it brings you joy to think that of the thousands of players in this game, I specifically targeted you, I won't hold that against you.
Second: That video was horribly depressing and made me miss all my old friends who left :( I still carry the pearl for an LS I was welcomed into seven years ago and if I'm lucky, there is one other person on who still wears it as well. We used to have so many stories to tell. Now? I'm lucky if someone waves back at me.

omg... I want to catch up with all my friends that played this game with me... My first, and in consider best LS, that I was in broke up because one of my friends got hacked... I hope SE recreates these moments for us. That will definitely get people to come back to the game.

You know there is so many problems with other jobs . . . SE needs to listen to it's players get rid of the senseless ideas and get with the ideas that make sense . . . . I don't know about the other jobs but i know the veteran players who know the problems that need to be tweaked with the jobs should be listened to. My job is SMN and I can say that the damn job is still in beta mode . . . And i would say 80% of the SMN community agree . . . . Its like this you start your new job and are there for 7 years . . . well while your there for 7 years you see every one getting a raise and promotion even the new guy. . . and your still there at 8 bucks an hour while everyone have far surpassed you . . . . this is why SE needs to listen to the players because some jobs are falling behind . . And yes I understand coding takes awhile but this specific thing should've been done 5+ years ago along with all the other corrections on other areas that need to be corrected . . . Fix the core then fix the adds . . . . I mean stop putting in new shit and fix what needs to be fixed . . . . .
