Sorta Related - "Designated Character" For Test Server

Hey Guys, I didn't really see a good place to put this, So i figured... Test Server Feedback might fit. Can the Dev team look, in the future, into allowing us to change the "Designated Character" To allow on the Test Server?

Its not a gigantic issue, Would just be nice if we could.

I'm not sure I 'get' what you mean.

You do know that you can create a character from scratch there too, right?
Or is it that you would like to use some other character you have for some other reasons?

A new character wouldn't have any quests done so you wouldn't be able to do many things without actually doing them, though, so I do think you're after something different...

Currently i have a Character on the Server, Darkmessenger. I would like to actually have Karbuncle on the Server.

If thats possible? I'm missing it. I read the instructions when signing up and it was clear to say i wouldn't be able to select a different char :x

Yeah, you're right. I don't think you can change the character which was designated during the application process.
And the Application page does confirm this from the looks of it:

Only the data of the character selected during the application process can be copied.

You cannot change the character you selected in your application.
I do wonder why it is a no-no...
Shouldn't be too difficult, I imagine?

All we can do, is delete the character and create a new one, or re-copy the data, but as far as I know, there is indeed no way of changing the designated character, for the time being any ways.

Yah thats what i thought.

Strange enough, I know at one point i had Karbuncle on the server. Now its Darkmessenger. At one point, My account was suspended due to me letting subscription expire...

That might reset it.

Still, Its a pretty silly restriction. I wish they would allow us to re-chose the character we want on the server..

I agree, it would be convenient and we can already re-copy the data so I don't know why not.
What's the worst thing that can happen?

As for your character actually changing due to being inactive for a moment, that doesn't seem right, perhaps contact the Customer Service, or post about that particularly?

Also a long-shot but have you tried re-copying the character?
I imagine though, that it does show the other character on that page so it would likely just use that again.

Yah, It simply just lets me recopy DarkMessenger.

Oh well, not a huge deal i guess. He's only kinda gimp >_>

Yah, You can recopy the Same Character, I found that out :x

Delete your character from the test server then go here and recopy it.

I just find it annoying that you can only use the one character on the test server out of all of the POL accounts you have linked to your SE Account.

It prevents me from being able to multi-box and test some stuff on my own.
