How to Solo/Duo Dynamis as Dnc

So, I have been wondering about how to go about doing something for quite some time - I had heard that for certain jobs, solo/duo dynamis for currency was quite easy but I never actually found out how to do this even now that I'm a DNC 99. Me and my Blu 99 mate want to actually do this now so I thought I would ask here.

How do you go about solo/duo DNC in Dynamis? Is getting time extensions something you can do solo? Which camps are best for dnc to solo/duo in and is it possible to solo dyna in every zone for +2 upgrades? By now is it possible to solo/duo in Tav for body +1's?

I'm really not very good at figuring out how to do these things on my own and I would appreciate any input you guys have for me.

It is possible to solo/duo Tav's top floor, but you need to proc the clusters before they get TP and kill them (or take them low) before they unproc.

I would recommend doing this on BLU/DNC + DNC/NIN if the BLU has a Tarutaru Sash augmented with TH+1. Have the BLU set Treasure Hunter and use the Tarutaru Sash on every mob (macro it in for Head Butt or something) for TH2. If you have no sash, go BLU/DNC + DNC/THF. It is going to be harder to survive against the DC monsters that way, though. Your BLU can't forget his stun spells, and should make sure his Blue Magic is capped. Remember that your goal is not just to proc them, but also to kill them.

Getting the TEs isn't hard. Check out the bgwiki maps. If you don't understand something I have said, read the main bgwiki Dynamis page.

Use reraise. Animated Flourish + Spectral Jig works well for pulling the statues in Tav. You will have to fight past a few Tauri to get the bottom statue, but it's not that bad. Stick to JA times for proccing. If you want to stay on the top floor, WS proc leeches or do demons during Byne time.

First, read up and understand the proc'ing system, both in city and dreamlands dynamises. Ffxiclopedia.org is good for this; reference weakness targeting. TEs are required because they are linked to procs. You can get TEs solo, but it can be risky for any job that's not BST. Bring reraise, as if you mess up, you could lose a full day of dynamis because of a bad pull.

In order to accumulate the most yield, the BLU will need to sub /DNC and the DNC will need to assess whether they want a sub or not. With a sub, you will get a higher average yield, without you will have a chance at getting a white proc, which is a guaranteed 100 piece, but at an abysmal ratio.

To answer your question, you can duo Tav, but I'd recommend the first three dreamland zones as they're much simpler to navigate and have more selection of mobs, plus bigger pools of mobs. Tav is very low on the amount of monsters, and if there's any competition, you'll be out of luck.

Are there any zones that are better/worse to duo in for more currency drops as blu/dnc that you can suggest? One of the things that made me not willing to attempt duoing it til now is not knowing any of the camps.

i solo dynamis as 99DNC/THF and make out with 90-130 currency every time with average 3-8 forgottens

I found dreamland zones (bubu, qufim, val) are the better ones for currency. Just ride the ep ja-proc mobs. Check ffxiclopedia/bg for what mobs to kill and when, every 8 in-game hours the mobs change proc, ja/ws/magic, and there are alternate camps too (raptors in qufim are crowded? kill the tigers, etc).

There's usually more competition there than in the cites though. If dreamlands are too crowded i like hitting the northlands, but i don't get nearly as much currency.

Just buy the maps from the guy who sells the dyna ki and mark the TE spots (marked maps are on clopedia/bg) and perhaps certain camps. After awhile you get the hang of where to go and when.

I've never tried Dnc/no sub yet, so i'm not sure how that would pan out.

I would not recommended the 2 splitted wiki since info on both of them are offen out dated or just not accurate. You'll be better off to use BG's wiki (at least for dynamis proc time/mob).

BST/DNC is the king right now for dynamis solo'ing given that BST's pet can basically get you all the TE without you even breaking invisibility. and /DNC for JA proc. Definitely CoP zones but even those are starting to get crowded given how easy it is to get city clears now a day.

I guess it depends a lot on personal preference. If you're soloing I suggest Trees > Puktraps > Sheeps in Valkurm. EP ones of course. They're very easy compared to the DC ones (DC puktraps are super annoying).

Personally I go DNC/00 when I duo and BST/DNC when I solo, but since SE decided to nerf BST taking out TH3 from their pets, I'll be stuck on doing Dynamis as DNC/THF soon enough.
Which kinda annoys me, I find soloing statues as DNC/THF very complicated, whereas it's usually very fast and easy on BST.

It's really only the pull that can be sort of complicated. Even then, I rarely get links when doing the statues.

I'm sure it's just me who sucks at that, but I usually have no issues on BST and the two times I tried on DNC I utterly failed.
Sigh, wish this nerf could have come like 6 months in the future instead than next month...

Try qufim job ability cycle dnc/thf. I recently got twashtar, and i make about 170-220 depending on luck. TE are easy there, and low risk of death.
