Alrighty, i'm new, 1 post yah yah bs bs. So this is what i was thinking in response to the cure potency shpiel.

Either:

Give RDM/WHM/ScH a new spell that gives a party member increased enmity and cure pot+


or

Give PLD the aforementioned spell to help them tank...and maybe add a lil bit of -dt to free up their equipment.

Spell example:

Divine Grace:
Duration: 5 minutes
Recast: 1 minute
Mp cost: 150 mp
Effect: damage taken -10% that deteriorates during the duration down to 5% after 3 minutes(or reduce enmity decrease while taking damage). increase enmity by 15 that goes down to 5 after 3minutes and give +25-40% cure potency received which deteriorates down to 15-20% after 3minutes.

That spell sounds pretty neat, but with the length/recast people might just recast it at the 3min mark to negate the lower effects. For Barance they might make it a 5min ja or something. Actually, for Barance, they might make it 3 different spells, given to 3 different jobs that will get them in 3 years time........

Just lift the cure potency cap of 50% and bring it up to 100% and add a shitton of cure potency gear for every mage job...

Precedence for this already, Yonin/Innin.

Shoot SE might even be for the OPs idea because it costs mp and a decent bit in one go. Throw in a decently fast casting time and PLDs might try and fulltime it.

Shell V I can understand. We've never had the highest shell spell on par with WHM or RDM...but if we had Cure IV while WHM had Cure V, you can give us Cure V while they have Cure VI. ; ;

Pld will get Cure V the same level as Sch. Then both can help cure the real tank.

For Cure 1-4, they should either lift the soft caps or just do away with them completely imo.

My reasoning for this spell is from watching PLD's struggle in VW due to the enmity system that SE has in place....it's really not fair for that we've been playing this long on a lv50 enmity cap system. Secondly the reason I wrote it the way I did; is because in VW with the many insta-gib abilities/spells that NMs have, along with the multi-dispel actions that they have, make it seem reasonable.

Oh, I'm not saying I want Cure V for the sake of cure tanking. I know I mentioned not having the enmity reduction on it for PLD, but that's only because it would be silly for PLD to have such a thing on any of it's spells.

I want Cure V because with as much as our max HP has gone up, including on MNK, Cure IV simply doesn't cut it anymore for maintaining yourself.
