so ok, youve made it so we can cut 15 MP off of spirit perpetuation costs, so they cost practicaly nothing to keep out. that still doesnt make them usefull, because last i checked: Summoner spirits stopped getting spells after level 75.

Casting Time = (48 + max Summoning Skill - current Summoning Skill) / 3

so

((516)-(48 + 417)) /3 =17

so a 17 second delay for spirit recast timers, minus 5 for the pants, gives you 12 seconds, sub scholar for matching storm spell, and current day, gives you another -5 to spirit casting time for a total of a 7 second spell recast on spirits spells. now this would potentially be AWESOME if spirits continued learning all of their spells after level 75, or at the very least give us access to the hybrid elementals from abysea.

Seriously, this has major application... Maybe. Perhaps discard all perp gear for MAB and SMN magic?

ehh atm its got ZERO application imo. super underpowered AND undertiered nukes is still gonna suck unless your chainspelling them :/ if they wanted spirits to have true utility, they would make it so they had fast cast, enhanced magic attack, and ALL magic spells for their element. and as an added bonus give them a pup-esque AI where they will cast certian spells based on certian situations EX: ice spirit in ice day, has a 50% chance to cast an ice based nuke if the monsters HP is 75-100%, and a 75% chance to cast if it is ice weather, and 100% chance if its double ice weather. for anyone who dosent know, Casting AI generaly only enfeebles the monster at 75-100% HP, and Nukes take priority from 75-0% HP. i want to have a dark spirit casting comet and impact damnit >:Q

This is not JOB ADJUSTMENT. It is a programming value adjustment.
JOB ADJUSTMENT -> changes something for the JOB.

Raise your hands up the ones that uses the random-weak-annoying spirits.

Yea, it doesn't change anything (though I like my free spirit perpetuation reduction from this change).

Been ages since I tested this. But all my tests indicated that there was a hard cap on the reduction. Somewhere around 20 seconds. I think I compared unequipping 20 skill and still had the same casting delays, which is a pretty good indication on having reached the cap. (You'd expect 20/3 to actually be a few seconds)

The only thing I want, is more frequent and intelligent casts. Nothing worse than having to wait 20 seconds between casts, and all you get is more Choke's. Meanwhile PUP gets separate timers and a pet that actually works.

Lightning: Batteries, duh!
Earth: for tossing stones at people
Wind: When a fan just won't do.
Ice: To keep those drinks cold
Light: When your flashlight is out
Darkness: When that other smn's flashlight isn't out.

I know a SMN who did to be different.

But yea, this is completely and utterly underpowered and useless.

Unless they plan on re-leasing tier2 spirit scrolls with this, even then, i'd rather keep my current merits than to have tier2 elementals out with the same finicky/dumb AI mechanism.

In short, unless they let us control elemental casting + release tier2 elementals with better spells, this is completely useless.

avatar acc/attk/magic attack is way more important.

A while back there were quite a few of us elemental type summoners who'd spam thunder IV every so often. While it still has it's applications, it's in need of higher tiered spells. Covenant covered this ages ago.

Edit: dark spirits in double dark weather would RAGE D:<

There are a few really slow fights where a spirit is cheaper and stronger than an avatar. It mainly involves other spirits, when physical damage is worthless.

That's why they should do more to boost the spirits rather than leave them back to lv75... maybe they're making the change but didn't announce it in fear of blms protesting.
