It takes longer.

There are plenty of quests that don't use this technique of artificial prolongation. But I'm sure SE will have some lame "coding" issue with reprogramming this stuff.

the sardine quest in windy you have to zone for but that sheep quest in selbina you can keep on repeating while its the same sort of fame quest.

Despite my indifference to the terrible trolling. I'm on board with this Idea. Always hated zoning In/Out to repeat a quest. Unfortunately, It will likely never be changed.

In some cases, it specifically represents an NPC telling you to go away and come back later. Other times, there's no rhyme or reason for it and no wait time is named or implied, but you still have to zone. That's where it's most annoying.

Outside abyssea; So you cant run a windower script and cap out your fame.
Inside abyssea: so you cant build up time in a party, and then sit there with a script capping out your fame.

Because you need to leave the area long enough for the NPC in question to forget what you look like so they don't realize you're monopolizing on their quests.

Duh.

I also wish that if a repeatable quest asks for 3 of X item, you could just trade 8 stacks in 1 trade and watch your fame shoot up :) Or simply watch the gil roll in, depending on the reason for the quest.
