Summoners' Avatars receive the superior movement speed reduction and superior damage taken reduction at all times, regardless of current HP (confirmed to still be the case as of April 28, 2011). Beastmaster pets and Automatons only receive those effects with their current HP below 50%.

thought they already undid that months ago? My avatars often get down to @50% health pretty quick. Maybe it's because of magic attacks, IDK... don't really pay that much attention to it to be honest, just that they do initially take damage in chunks and then it slows considerably or stops. If it was still full strength from the start, this would likely not be happening.

Go to : http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/profile.php?do=ignorelist then add "Hordecora" and "hordecore". It won't stop them turning this forum in an equine abatoir, but at least you aren't tempted to respond to their threads before noticing who you are responding too...
