i found that if i popped azure lore, efflux, unbridled, chain affinity, then did chante du cynge > amorphic spikes > bloodrake, it did a pretty powerful double darkness skillchain (roughly ~15000 dmg). magic burst not included, and this is outside of abyessea

(no gear swaps, haste gear set, b/c it was pretty sure it would be close to death or dead anyway) : CDC for 1433 > 4513 amorphic spikes > for 4874 darkness > then bloodrake for 1241 > which did 2009 darkness

this was on teh cunnerus mob in mission 10 of the past missions, and this skillchain finnished it off, so there is actually more potential for damage from this skillchain with proper gear swaps and popping chain affinity/efflux after azure lore wears and getting another chain off with another spell.
I figuered this out randomly, and just popped all my abilities randomly, so the chain affinity was a waste looking back on it. ( maybe quadrastrike or quadric continuum chains! fingers crossed, if not , u still get a chain affinity quadrastrike thrown in after bloodrake for extra spike damage). I have yet to try. or everyone grudge magic burst ftw

i am wondering what are other random azure lore chains to do that have been found

Now that is interesting. BLU magic can actually do a continuation chain(ala a relic or empy WS) under the effect of AZ? or was it the addition of Unbridled Learning that made that possible?

It's under the effect of Azure Lore that allows you to skillchain multiple spells together. I haven't seen posts for the 99 cap combinations, but there is a pretty nice older one i wrote down.

verticle cleave -> subzero smash -> disseverment -> goblin rush -> Benthic typhoon -> CA/flux Quad. cont.

It takes pretty good timing to fit into the AL 30sec frame (the CA at the end allows for QC to chain even if AL drops) but this seemed to be considered the best combo back at 90 cap.

Was very well documented when they adjusted Azure Lore, in fact it was in the patch notes and was the sole adjustment to the ability, that Azure Lore allows skillchaining and magic bursting without the appropriate Affinity active. Tourbillion, Bilgestorm, and Bloodrake all have Lv3 properties: Light, Light, and Darkness respectively.

Strongest SC possible that I can come up with on the spot:

Tourbillion -> Disseverment -> Goblin Rush -> Amorphic Spikes -> Quad. Continuum

Ends in darkness and the entire chain is subject to Tourbillion's 33% DEF down.

Thanks for the info guys, especially Prothscar.

I was aware of the change to Azure Lore a bit back, but that UL spells were given T3 SC properties never even occurred to me. And that SC is a nice lil slice of awesome!

If you really want to get fancy you can follow your 2hr with a weapon skill because no TP is lost from 2hr then CA/Efflux and add 1 more spell at the end.

That is a good one to know, thanks.

And yea btw the CDC >amorphic > bloodrake sc can probably be taken further one way or another its just hard to actaully test
