When you think of FFXI, what storyline do you like the most? What did you like about it? What did you find better about that storyline over the others?

The fight was close between Promothia and Wings of the Goddess but, so far at least, Promothia has taken the lead by ~20 votes at this time.

It's clear that players enjoy the recent expansions much more than the foundation ones, which helped build the story up to where it is now.

My fav story line was CoP the first time I seen the CS, after running around and watching them all again its a bit corny. Still the ending CS was the best in FFXI to me.

Mmm, tough choice, tough choice. I do love Rise of the Zilart, but I feel Chains of Promathia covered much of the Zilart history that I was craving.

I'll have to say CoP (for its beautiful story, length, and content), then Zilart (because I love the Zilarts), WotG, and lastly ToAU. I didn't like ToAU much at all, though I did like the tail end (Luzaaf onward). Nations were great when I first started playing the game, but now they're kind of bland in comparison to fresher storylines.

For me, WotG, ToAU, and Abyssea ruined the happy feeling I associated with Vana'diel. ToAU took us overseas to a world that wasn't really connected to our own, WotG took us to an alternative dimension that split from our own, and Abyssea also played up on this idea. When it was just Zilart and CoP, I felt a great connection with Vana'diel and its history. With the newer stories, it doesn't feel as... special I guess? I'm not sure how to describe the disappointment.

If I were to have a new expansion with a new story, I would most definitely want to see CoP and RoZ main characters return. These were my two favorite stories, and these are what I would want expanded upon.

Definitely Chains of Promathia for me. Rise of the Zilart goes nicely with it though, since they're obviously related, so that's a close second to me.

I really don't understand why everyone loves CoP so much. ToAU has been much more interesting on every level so far(haven't finished ToAU yet).

ToAU definitely had great (if not the best) content, but the story wasn't anywhere near as good as CoP (for me at least).

WoTG was nice, but I still prefer CoP's story over WoTG.

It's a tossup between Chains of Promathia and Wings of the Goddess, but I'm gonna have to go with the latter. Lilisette and Lilith, along with Portia and Ragelise, were just more interesting characters all around.
