could should make BCNM of all classic Final Fantasy bosses or enemies into FFXI
would be awesome fun. :D

I've actually wanted something like this for awhile. Ark from FFIX, Final Aeon from FFX, for that matter alot of the Aeons. (though id rather see valefor as a summon) Gilgamesh perhaps in FFV/XII style since its been suggested he can traverse dimensions, then again thanks to Atomos so can we. (maybe we should go to them) Perhaps something more simple like Cloud, Squall, Tina(Terra) and so on. FFXI is an evolving testimony to all things Final Fantasy, so small things from others would be fun. Though its most likely just wishful thinking.

They make new BCNMs all the time. Though as to what to make them out of, I like the idea.

I think they should make the optional uber boss from Super Mario RPG that had the FFIII battle music- forget what his name was...

possible I like think if add challange when talk Prishe give new quest BCNM Empyreal Paradox would be fight face it Garland from FF1.

I don't want to see any heroes/villains from any other FF game. Despite if people like it or not, this is a numbered game in the main line.

You don't see Kefka appearing in FFVII or Zidane appearing in FFXII.

Likewise, I wouldn't want to see FFXI characters in FFXII or FFXIII-2.

In a way I agree with that, however Gilgamesh appeared in V and XII (in the same form) Cloud appeared in Final Fantasy Tactics even though it take place in FFXII's Ivalice. (To be fair FFT was made first I only say FFXII so people know the place) Cloud's sword appears in FFIX and Zidane specifically states he once knew a spikey haired guy who used it. No sure if this counts but, Kefka's laugh can be heard in Goldenrod in FFVII. Also, in FF Dissidia Shantotto mentions the Cavernous maws and for unknown reasons not only retains her memories but also disappears from later parts of the war. Dimensional travel is cannon in many of the Final Fantasy games, for their characters to appear here would not be entirely unnatural, and since unlike the other Final Fantasy games dimensional is a very large part of the game WoTG, Abyssea, Voidwalker, Voidwatch, Walk of Echoes if monsters are summoned here or we are summoned there, its just as possible for us to stumble upon Terra, Spira or Ivalice. One fact I am fairly sure everyone can agree on is all FF worlds or in theory all worlds are connected, what give FFXI the 1up over the other 12 (13 assuming XIV doesnt eventually do this) is the ability for adventurers to travel time/space. Oh and the other key difference is FFXI (and XIV) are being updated, even IF they wanted to add FFXIII referances/characters to say FFIV they cant unless they remake and release it.

I like the idea. Cameos in a non-story line related BCNM would do nothing to hurt the game or franchise. There are tons of BCs that really have nothing to do with the game - it's just a battle. It would be nice to see a unique boss model (or a recreation of a popular character from a previous game) in these battles instead of the same old mobs with higher stats.

you mean Culex? yeah I remember fought before long time this hardest boss. XD
