[Suggestion] Crystals of Arms [new way to use WS and equipments]

you can assign each shard to Hold the equipment that you gonna use for WS instead of using macro.

each shard will use only the bonus stats on the gear without forcing you to change your gear


*Each shard will give extra inventory space so they wont take any space from your main inventory.

It's not really a "good" idea. It's an "I'm lazy" idea.

If you can't be bothered to make a macro for your weaponskills, then that's on you. Why should there be a system that lets you use stats from gear you aren't wearing in your WS calculations?

I've seen a lot of bad ideas on this forum but this may be one of the worst, and that's including Starcade anti RMT ideas...
If you feel that the game mechanics need to change this drastically, than I think it may be time to move onto a different MMO.
It's been 10 years, its OK to move on >.>

edit: What do you mean by "...without forcing you to change gear". What does that even mean? Its a core gameplay mechanic, thats like saying "I want to kill a mob, but I don't want to be forced to deal it damage"

The OPs idea is essentially a 33 line macro, that swaps all slots for optimal WS stats, does the WS, then equips the default TP gear set. A 33 line macro for EACH weaponskill, no less...

If you are desperate for it, you can do it with various third-party tools already, ranging from hi-tech keyboards to windower.

I would also like to not waste my time bringing a mobs HP down. Can I just click on it and have all it's drops deposited into my inventory please?

Waste? Why is it Wasted? You think doing more damage and being a better player is a waste? I see where you are coming from now.
I have 6 jobs, 3 of them macro geared (RDM, SCH, BST) and I have absolutely zero inventory problems. I can't fathom what you are doing wrong

Before reading all these posts made by the OP'er, I was thinking they meant that each slot provided a separate inventory-like section (like satchel) but is limited to 16 pieces of gear. You use your WS, it would equip any gear you have in that inventory, use the WS, then change back.

From the example in the OP there could be up to 5 programmable inventory sections just for the WS's assigned, and if you wanted to set a different you would have to disable one you have set already. It could possibly be saved by job, but that would be a bit extreme (and I think this idea already is a bit extreme). You could carry up to.... 80 equipment pieces (16x5).

That is nothing more than another sack or satchel but is actually used by the game system to use for your WS's instead of just for storage.

Personally, I'm not against it. Yes, we can do everything just fine as it is... but I'm not against this idea. It is a perfect 80 so technically it wouldn't be impossible for SE to implement, it would take a lil bit more than just another sack to do but it could work.

I still don't think we need it though, but it is a good idea, troll idea or not.

What you just described is Windower macros, or just pressing 2-3 regular macros

edit: Also, I think SE said at some point that macros longer than 6 lines could not be supported, not sure how a gear set with this many changes would be implimented. In addition, if that equipment can be equipped, it may need to be considered as part of your main inventory because how the game works. That would push your inventory over 80 slots, which also cannot be done.
