Frequency: Once (did not reproduce)
Character Name: Annalise
Race: Hume Female
World: Bismark
Main Job: White Mage, Lv.99
Support Job: Scholar, Lv. 49
Area and Coordinates: Throne Room, [S]. No map, no coordinates
Party or Solo: Party with 2 members
NPC Name: None
Monster Name: None
Steps:
1. In a party with Valoras, 95 RDM/BLM 47. We successfully finished WotG Mission 37, Darkness Descends.
2. I finished the resulting cutscene.
3. I ran up to Valoras. He was going to escape us. Prior to being escaped, I used Curaga V on both of us.
4. Valoras used escape right next to me, taking him out of Throne Room [S] to Xarcabard [S] and leaving me behind. We were both still in party and everything. Escape only worked on him and not me, similar to teleporting someone without having a gate crystal.

sounds like yet another side effect of the dreaded curing spell lock that SERIOUSLY needs to be addressed.....

Maybe, not sure. It was a bit after the curaga though. Maybe a minute. But curaga hitting us both and escape not hitting us when we're right next to one another is odd.

Cure lock had nothing to do with it, he just mentioned Curaga to show it did land on the both of them, but Escape did not.

Only thing I can think of, is that there was some kind of lag, which caused the server to think you were not close enough, or perhaps there was a problem with the destination zone, causing it to reject some players but not others.

Either way, a bug.

OP didn't specify there was a time lapse between the two spells....they could have been an overlap in casting for all we knew. Without knowing the specifics it was hard to say for certain based on the OP. Could very well be an issue with delayed update on position if you were moving towards the caster while he/she casting. Think Escape has a more narrow radius than Curaga V. Not sure on that....but it seems pretty easy to get out of range of an escape or tele.
