I dont think its just me seems it happens to a few ppl but realy sucks with the time limit issue in aby area's when you walk up to a maw or conflux and it doesnt load. I dont know if this is a render issue or what but gets anoying when it happens.

It happens to me and others i know sometimes.. only when its really crowded tho.. or there are lots of mobs about.
I think it has something to do with how many models your computer can render or your settings.. im not too computer savvy tho heh..
Easy way to fix it is run a ways out 50 yalms or sight distance.. a grid square works fine also if you aren't sure on distances.. then back again and it should load.

Flunklesnarkin offered some very valid suggestions as to why this may be happening. This is attributed to hardware/latency. If you'd like assistance with information or optimization the issue please contact the support center at FINAL FANTASY XI Support Site (http://support.na.square-enix.com) (hyperlink) > Final Fantasy XI. Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention and I hope it hasn't caused too much of an inconvenience for you!

Well, thats not always the case. When I teleport from Jeuno to a Maw, then sometimes there are nobody standing outside of the maw. So its definetly not too many people on the screen :/

It's happened to me when trying to zone into abyssea empy paradox before with only one person nearby. I lost a bunch of twilight gear that would have free fell to me that way.
It's generally a latentcy issue. I've had it happen a couple of times. Easy fix for me was just walk far enough away from where it's suppose to be, walk back and it's rendered back where it was supposed to be the 1st time.

That's what I have always done - until that one time I zoned out of the Shinryu battlefield, the maw in the Empyreal Paradox did not load. I had to log out and back on. -.-

Greetings, Kaych!
I appreciate you taking the time to contribute to the thread. Unfortunately, we are required to obtain information from player that originally started the thread, so in this case, we would need Ritsuka to fill out the previously provided form. However, if you would like to have a report submitted for you, I recommend starting a thread with the form filled out, and we will be more than happy to pass along your information for you. Thanks again for your participation!

the maw or some NPC's just dont show up even after runing 200 yalms away and back again. would love to hear you say its a hardware issue. all setting i have are at max. most time is when i am only person at the conflux and maw inside abyssea. sometimes it will not come back without rezoning even if i run to another flux and use it.
all drivers are up to date (although reluctand due to some minor flaws with the drivers which only effects AutoCAD and Microstation) as well for directX, i just cannot think as to what is the cause since, hardware wise.
my PC is a purpose built ultimate gaming PC as well as 3D rendering and is capable of displaying over 1000 character models on the screen with no lag with a resolution of 1920x1080 with tweeked 4xScaling on other games.
i have no problems with mobs/other players only problems with conflux's maws and avatars.
any thoughts to what the problem may be? my personal opinion is due to the limitations of the FFXI client.
