So Ukon as the strongest current DD job is being addressed (I don't think the current nerfs will be the end of it, I can see more coming for war still).
What do you think will be next?
In terms of building a job to an apex in the way Ukon war did I can see Pld with Ochain being next on the nerf list, or /convert overpowering whm maybe.
No comments here will have any impact on the dev team, they already have their plans on what they consider overpowered anyway.

Anyways seriously it has to be SAM since were talking about 'Balance'.
Probably in like... lowering the 'Third Eye' duration :P

They'll be looking at everything gained since level 76. This includes all Emps, spells and JA's.
I see Impact being nerfed, not the damage but the guaranteed -20% stats effect. Also see a possibility of nerfing Hi / CDC / RS and maybe JR. Then they'll start on the spells and JAs and go from there.

Impetus and Counterstance wouldn't shock me, but would further infuriate me.
Maybe Enmity Douse changed to only resetting a small amount of hate.
Maybe a limitation on how often Cureskin can activate.
Possibly nerfing BLU Stunlock...
Possible Perfect Defense nerf, in light of the volume of usage on it for the level cap battle.
Possibly lowered Haste, Refresh, PDT and MDT caps.

-Blood rage now give Critical Evasion- to the user
-Berserk and warcry now gives PDT+ to the user
+Defender now gives PDT-
Whm
-Cure V and VI no longer have unique enmity properties
Thf
-Both gear and applied TH now cap at Lv8
Mnk
-Counterstance now gives PDT+
-Perfect Counter and counterstance now have lower counter attack damage
-Impetus now lowers defense and critical evasion with each successive attack you land
Pld
-All new NMs will have an enmity reset trait and enmity shift ability
Bst
-Misc. TP move removal and charge increase on all pets
-/+ Addition of pets that are requested by the JP onry
Sam
+Under desperate condition (hp<25%), attacks will gain additional effect: Death
+2hr now grants conserve tp, save tp, tp bonus, regain, and WS only consume 50 tp in addition to its current effect

I firmly believe that you are underestimating both SE's love for SAM as well as their loathing and hatred for everything else.

You guys must be new to this game. They have been nerfing jobs since release.
I predict a new multi 2-3 hit TP bonus GK in the future for SAM. It just makes so much sense to me. With the top tiered NQ magian weapons they are primed for expansion.
Oh, which btw some of you may be asking, but what do you mean? That's not a nerf! Well, it effectively is a nerf to every other melee job.

I see Fanatics drinks being nerfed.
Impetus will probably get nerfed.
Wildfires M acc will be lowered to ridiculous levels
Refresh and Convert will be restricted from SJ.
A cap of 20 will be placed on Save TP.
JA procs in dynamis.
Perfect Defense maybe.
Anything that is really cool that we got between 75-99 is on the chopping block imo. The question is how many can they get away with before enough people stop playing to shut the servers down.
Lv.99 Relics, Mythics, and Empyreans won't have any buffs but, what is visable. Some damage and little boost to stats. Afterglow will just make it glow while aftermath is active. Trials will remain 1000, 1000, 500 or even be increased. Droprate on the items will be lowered forcing you to kill 5 PW for 1 drop.
Cure VI will be removed.
All spells, jas, and ws's gained with sj will be cut in half str wise.
Cure potency cap will be lowered to 30% to match waltz.
More gear with lower stats will be released with drop rates matching voidwatch.
Sam will get buff to all ws's.
Mythic,Relic,Empyrean GKs will have +100% ws dmg. Rest of Relics,Mythics,Empyreans will get -100% dmg ws for Balance.
We will receive new Spells that have 3 times the mp cost and only do 5 points more damage.
Rdm will lose Refresh 2, Grav 2, All T4 nukes, Para 2, Slow 2 and all new nms will be immune to all enfbs.
Drg call wyvern will be changed back to 2hr.
Benediction will now refill 50% of hp and only cure half of the status aliment on the player.
All trial of magian weapons will be relooked at and nerfed for balance.
New Nyzul will drop Logs and ores from all nms with a 0.000001% of alexanderite dropping.
New +5 nyzul gear will be altered in stats at release for balance.
Ochain and Aegis will now Occ only proc their block rates and Aegis's Mdt will only work 20% of the time.
G horn and Harp will be reduced to original stats.
A new statue of Tanaka holding the words Balance will be added to all Towns.

I really hope SE does goes down in a ball of flames to teach other game/movie producers that there is a limit to how much Fandom alone can keep moving product. They are starting to see it now with the damage done by FF13/14 and the mistakes of FF11. While FF13 wasn't that bad of a game it did not live up to the name, the down fall of fandom is people hold all new content to the rose tinted glasses of the old even if the old was crap too but from a "Better point in time" of youth. Some times its good to let a name go away for a while.
Tanaka is taking more then his fair share. That said the amount of blame and anger is what he, his team and the rest of the people at SE that are allowing the mess of games being released to continue, deserve nothing better.

They are starting to see it now with the damage done by FF13/14 and the mistakes of FF11. Sven: think you give them too much credit, those numbers are very conservative considering their track record.
with all the out cry on sam if they do end up balancing it, take away konzen-ittai, nerf zanshin effect on hasso and seigen, or remove its effect on them altogether, no more stp V for sam.
been a sam a long time myself kinda confused by shoha since i own a masamune, since i am a sam its cool we got something nice... buuuuut umm after all that balancing of the other ws vs level 60 ones... and its going to out do fudo? been working on getting my hagun 2.0 finished (didnt do the 95 trial...) part that has me angry the most is sam's going back to being a band wagon job, that or its going to get "balanced" much rather they hadn't added shoha /sigh

That it I haven't bought a new game made by SE since FF14. That was the final nail if I hadn't loaded a bunch of crysta before it look like it was going to go back down hill I woulsn't play FF11 either. FF13 was not impressed infact the ripping off of story elements of FF7 cheapened the opening CS, then the mess the the last Front mission being a watered down Armoredcore game, things been going down for a long time.

For each pt member, including sam, sam will gain 10 str, 10 haste, 10 store tp. Under hasso, Tachi: Shoha will be able to crit

I know it was meant to be a joke, but i could seriously see SE doing at least half of Svens' post. Most/all of the jobs "adjustments" could become reality, but I doubt they'd tool with the areas/events quite as extreme though.
I could definitely see a Wildfire nerf next cause people like using the throw Wildfire Cors at VW NM till it dies.
